3.The Exorcist (I love the feeling throughout this film!)
4.The Ring (I know a lot of people hate this film but I actually really liked it and it is one of the only Horror Films that actually SCARED ME!!!)
5.Insidious or Halloween! (Don't ask why I like Insidious, I just was terrified by it and it was very original!) I am a big James Wan fan! (Saw 1, Insidious, Dead Silence
Wow that's awesome! Black Christmas and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre came out in the same year (1974) and The Exorcist (My 3rd favorite movie!) came out in 1973! Awesome!
Black Christmas was a great horror film! I agree, it's not much of a "Slasher Film" but it's still good! I think it had more of a body count than Psycho! Black X-Mas (The Remake) I enjoyed quite a bit! It was more eerie and atmospheric!
Great collection! I understand your opinion on Black Christmas. The pacing was very slow and between the suspense scenes there was not too much to keep your attention going. Also, people call it the first "slasher", but really it has less kills than Psycho. I wouldn't call it a "slasher" because there wasn't much "slashing" going on, but I'd say it laid some groundwork.
great collection andrew. ididn't really care too much for child's play 3. i liked both black christmas'. i personally didn't care too much for valentine though.
great collectin dude, stage fright is another great cheese fest of a slasher, the slumber party massacre and the sorority house massacre films are also great fun! cold prey is another great one, cheerleader camp, return to horror high are also great, and prom night 2 is a million times better than the first one!!!
@BundySetPiecesVII .... LMAO, no it doesn't. Black Christmas is weak and dated compared to Halloween. John Carpenter stepped everything up with Halloween and Michael Myers is awesome.
@CarryTheZero1980 .... I really didn't like it hahaha, found it pretty boring and highly overatted. I havn't seen the remake, but might hire it sometime to check it out.
@ANDREWBALLINA I reckon you'll like the remake more to be honest, I have about an equal love of both but definitely check out the remake, it even gives more backstory to the killer!
awesome collection Andrew!....some other titles you should look into, um..I Know What You Did Last Summer...give it a chance, I liked it...it's classic slasher style, with that late 90's flair. Urban Legend, the first one, really good, going to the 80's now, The Prey, a great slasher flick about some campers who wonder into the wrong territory.
Pieces..it's a great chainsaw slasher flick, super cheesey, and gory, and a lot of nudity!..lol
@MidniteMoviehouse07 1 from the late 80's, i love this film...Popcorn!...a great slasher flick, has some supernatural ambience to it, the kills are creative, not a lot of gory stuff, but great, inventive kills.
Bloody Birthday, and crazy kooky flick about 3 kids who go psycho on their 10th birthday, and start killing a lot of people.
Graduation Day!..omg!...it's a silly slasher flick, but it's so 80's cheese...look it up, you may like it.
@MidniteMoviehouse07 ... Thanks for the comments dude. I wanna get Popcorn, Candyman and I'll be getting The Funhouse Blu ray when that gets released in July.
omg!...The Funhouse....have seen it?...it's awesome....spooky stuff, it's a Tobe Hooper Slasher flick
1 flick, from the late 90's, oh no...2001 it came out, worth a look, a UK slasher flick called The Pool.
I like it, it's pretty good for a UK slasher flick.
oh!...Candyman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....omg!...Candyman!....you have to get it...he is a great supernatural slasher, I mean, right up there with Freddy and Jason...you don't have Candyman..well..I don't either..but I <3 Candyman, it's great
@ANDREWBALLINA Only 5, and none of their Blu-ray releases. But I've only recently discovered them, but fuck, such great cover art on all of them, and the special features etc are awesome. They're doing a bundle of 5 Argento films for 40 quid at the minute on their site (which you may be particularly interested in if you're starting to collect giallo movies), so I'm definitely picking that up on payday.
@ANDREWBALLINA It's called the Argento Bundle on their site, you get Terror at the Opera, Two Evil Eyes, The Stendhal Syndrome, Sleepless, and The Card Player. But I own, Dawn of the Dead, Bay of Blood, House by the Cemetary, Stendhal Syndrome, and The Beyond. Fuck man, I may have to get over my fear of Amazon and start using it again, had some really bad experiences with it, but it's just so cheap...
@IGoldenThroatI .... Ok, I checked that set out and its different. The set Amazon as, has 4 movies and has all the ones you listed apart from Two Evil Eyes, its in a nice box too. I want to get Bay of Blood, House by the Cemetery and The Beyond. I find Amazon really good.
@ANDREWBALLINA Ahh. God, I haven't used amazon in years. I've only ever bought stuff from them three times and every time the stuff was either broken, different to the description or a completely different order. But I can't resist the prices anymore I don't think haha. And so many people have recommended it on here.
Yeah, I highly recommend them, Bay of Blood and House by the Cem are probably in my top ten horror films I've seen so far.
Andrew, thank you so much for the video and your slasher film collection looks awesome and I really like the way you set up your collection!! I am glad to have helped you build some of your slasher collection.
Halloween is the best horror franchise. The original is the best, my favourite sequel is Part 4, and my least favourite is Reurrection. I can't say it is completely bad because in ways it is entertaining and it's a Halloween flick. Myers rocks!!
Very nice collection and I really like the way you got everything setup. The only movie I dont like out of there is high tension but hey we like what we like and we dislike what we dislike but ether way great setup and great video.
@spiderjackangel .... Thanks alot. I'm running out of space, so might have to rearrange the shelves abit soon, but at the moment I like the setup too. The ending of High Tension lets the film down, but the more I see it, the more I get used to the ending.
Amazing slasher update Andrew, I love how passionate about this genre and the films. I think I am the only person here who doesn't have any Halloween, Friday or Nigjtmare films! I need to get that sorted! Lol awesome stuff as usual mate :)
@MatteiOfTheDead ... Holy shit!!!, you don't own any Halloween or Friday the 13th movies!!!! Unsub me now, I don't wanna know you anymore!!!! Hahaha, just kidding, but seriously, you really need to get them in your collection, they are both great series.
Has that package I sent not got to you yet.? Hells bells that's no bloody good. Bloody post office need a rocket up their arses. Good collection mate. But I'm sure it'll grow a bit yet. Stay lucky Andrew.
@selmerthegod ... Nah, hasn't arrived yet. It normally takes just over a week from the UK (sometimes longer), but I'll do an unboxing when it arrives.
Very nice Andrew, I'm shocked you haven't seen Resurrection yet, but I guess you already know you're not missing too much. Do you like I know what you did last summer? I enjoyed that movie, like it better than Scream actually.
GUYS! My Favorite Horror Films of All Time are:
1.Scream (MY #1 FAVORITE MOVIE!)
2.The Shining (A Masterpiece PERIOD.)
