There will always be talented players from every country, even England, its just that now less players will make the top level since that level is much higher than it was before the premiership became so diverse

If a player doesn't make it, it's because he doesn't want it enough, bringing a player from a french youth academy into the arsenal set up for example will give him a much better coaching experience and play against better quality players everyday. Chelsea invested millions in the youth system. Ive seen Bruma and Kakuta debut just recently. That about it. And they have only bin with chelsea for 2 years.

Patrick Van Aanholt for example couldve probably played for PSV allready, the way to the top would be much shorter i think. Now he's on loan to coventry city.
In my opinion these players put their football future on the line for short term cash. Proof yourself at your club, move through the ranks, then make the big step.
I cant name players who didnt make it, but can assure you they are many and are now hussling to get a contract in the second division somewhere.
All im saying is that these players struggling for contracts now are not where they are because of the English youth academies letting them down, they've let themselves down, they werent good enough and didn't reach their potential. The best of the best make it to the top level and the top level will never be dominated by players from any one nation be that spain, france, holland or even england. The top level is what it is because it is the finest players from every country
yes you are probably right in most cases, but some of these players were well under way to making it to the first team in their own country and for some reason they didnt even got to that "top level" again.
I think you must "see" the road to the top if you want to walk it, if you are sent on loan to Derby county(with all respect to Derby county) things could get cloudy....

In their own country they wouldve played all the time, wouldnt have to compete for play time. They come back desillusioned and mediocre and they were exceptional and full of hope when they arrived,
conclusion: you fucked up, nobody would complain if your system produced excellent players for the national squads of those countries but you just dont.

but to some extent i think you are right that taking them from their growing environment might be risky for them. they can come to a big club but lose the chance of real match experience and their talents eventually fade as they grow older. but still, it is a trend now for football world.. just trying to voice out my opinion

If a player doesn't make it, it's because he doesn't want it enough, bringing a player from a french youth academy into the arsenal set up for example will give him a much better coaching experience and play against better quality players everyday. I think you're just basing your argument on a hunch and not looking at facts, it sounds like you have no idea what goes on within a football team when they sign a youngster. Chelsea invested millions in the youth system. Ive seen Bruma and Kakuta debut just recently. That about it. And they have only bin with chelsea for 2 years.

I didnt say you can't use Chelsea as part of your argument, but you aren't looking at the bigger picture Chelsea are in the top 5 teams in the world, theres 19 other teams in the prem and around 50 in England with better youth facilities than the average Dutch side. Just picking on one team doesn't prove anything and I'm pretty sure you can't come up with a player who's career has been wrecked since being scouted and brought over to England

In my opinion these players put their football future on the line for short term cash. Proof yourself at your club, move through the ranks, then make the big step.
I cant name players who didnt make it, but can assure you they are many and are now hussling to get a contract in the second division somewhere.

The best of the best make it to the top level and the top level will never be dominated by players from any one nation be that spain, france, holland or even england. yes you are probably right in most cases, but some of these players were well under way to making it to the first team in their own country and for some reason they didnt even got to that "top level" again.

Most kids will not make the grade but are kept at the club just in case and are unceremoniously dumped without so much as a thank you whereas if the take a better offer from a bigger club at least the have more of a chance to make it even if, as in many players cases,they are offloaded to a smaller club !!
