@patrickdcyau Yes, the present post is from the album: "Mozart - The Concert Arias" (& the same album also includes Guglielmo's aria: Rivolgete a lui lo sguardo, k584 from Cosi fan tutte). Mozart, however, inserted this aria in the 1786 Vienna performance of Idomeneo when the role of Idamante was transferred to a tenor voice from the castrato. The 1974 Glyndebourne production of Idomeneo has this aria & Idamante was sung by Leo Goeke.(available on DVD).

I only know this is a concert aria, K.490. Does it appear again in the opera "Idomeneo" as well?
