I used to listen to Alex Jones and take him very seriously, until I heard the Peter Joseph interview. I even watched Jones' films and got scared shitless. I agree with Peter, and when Alex is shown this simple, no-brainer approach to healing and transcending the system-- instead of being scared into buying a gun and declaring war on the establishment-- he rejects it and uses it as fodder for more fearmongering. That's when I realized that this is all Alex is ever going to do: make us afraid.

I used to listen to Alex Jones and take him very seriously, until I heard the Peter Joseph interview. I even watched Jones' films and got scared shitless. I agree with Peter, and when Alex is shown this simple, no-brainer approach to healing and transcending the system-- instead of being scared into buying a gun and declaring war on the establishment-- he rejects it and uses it as fodder for more fearmongering. That's when I realized that this is all Alex is ever going to do: make us afraid.

Jacque Fresco does not preach Utopianism. All he says is this: Our current system is outdated, broken and obsolete. I have a better idea of how society should work.
His ideas are completely revolutionary on a quantum level. Getting rid of a 7,000 year old concept called money/bartering is going to be extremely difficult.
BTW, Alex Jones, denounces everything about Zeitgeist because it poked holes in religion. Something that Alex Jones cannot tolerate.

You're living in the novel 1984 Jason!! Anybody who calls this a utopia believes submissively that it is just too good to be true. The z-movement is not a utopia! By design humans are imperfect and to say that from their imperfections they can build a perfect utopian society is just absurd. The ideas set forth by the Venus Project are a lot better than what we have now, and whoever opposes it just shows everyone that they are incapable of grasping the concepts.

The concepts are difficult to grasp so I have sympathy for Jason and Alex and I am very sad to say Mr. Griffin because they obviously cannot grasp them. Since the first human civilization people have been forced to live in scarcity so for them to break free of an age old way is asking a lot, but we have to at least to try to understand. As for calling it a religion, WHAT!? That is just too ridiculous to comment on.

Check out William Cooper's Mystery Babylon then you'll understand. The 'god-spirit' is the idea that man can be God. The whole mystery religion is based on them preferring Lucifer's ideals of knowledge because it made them 'Gods.' In their interpretation of the Christian Bible was that God was keeping the world captive from knowledge and Lucifer set them free and gave them their 'freedom.'

Also i see socialist for americans seems to be a dirty word. Currently a democratic government is the best we have (imho) because it allows to adopt the best parts of other systems. The Healthcare system in the states is one of the scariest things ive ever seen. An (idealistic) socialist approach to it would be much better. That aspect of the VProject - the best of everything from production to use with regards to healthcare makes so much sense. And if that works then other parts might aswell.

Our current system at its most ideal generates the betterment of one person at the expense of someone else in the same system. And your freedom will always be determind by your spending power. That will always generate haves and have nots and that will generate the need to cheat the system for one to express freedom.
I dont believe the Vproject will stop all crime and im weary about some of the laws they would propose. But the elimination of the system will stop a hell of alot of crime.

Also societies do change over time and things do become irrelivant. Nothing said about the Vproject is finite, its a perspective that can be altered. One great thing about democrocy is that it can vote for aspects of a better world.
