When I was a teen I had a crush on Julie London in Emergency. She was as beautiful in her 50s as she was in her 20s. I knew she was married to Jack Webb and I still can't understand why she married him. When I found out that she sang and listened to her music I just fell in love with her all over again, what a talent!
Somewhere far away from this place and this day in age, these melodies and songs are infinite. All of this significance is eternal. Thank you for uploading!
How can one not fall in love with this women. Julie is the "Whole Package." When I was born in 59, Julie turned 33 in Sept. When I turned seven in 1966, I started listening to her albums because my dad had a collection of her albums that now I own. All 32 of them. I own her movies and all Emergency dvds. I also have the Feb. 18, 1957 Life magazine that has her on the cover. I have three autograph pictures of her. Over the years, I been offered thousands of $ for this collection. I always say no
Just love Julie London so had to use one of her songs for my slideshow. Came across this video searching for the song I used even thought it a different song. Will attach but not sure the photos do the song justice!
I had no clue that Julie and Bobby Troup were married, and both started as musicians ... how kool ... I always loved her "slightly cocky" attitude on Emergency ...
My neice dated bobby troup back in lancaster, Pa. Good ole" dixie. Hollywood doesn't make them like her anymore. Have you ever seen her on talk show's in the 70's? She had real class.
She worked with her Husband, Bobby Troup, for her Ex-Husband Jack Webb, on Emergency! I wonder how much tension there as on the set between her two husbands!
I have always loved her smoky, sultry voice. Julie, although we miss you so much, I just know you're singing a few tender ballads for the good Lord above.
I started out listening to Sweet Julie to try to learn some of the stuff her guitar player, Barney Kessel was doing, and ended up falling head over heels in love with her beautiful voice. RIP Julie, dear. You're always with us.
I was first "introduced" to Julie's music about 50 years ago (I was 12?) Fell in love with her voice, her music, her beauty. In the60s, when there were cigarette ads on television, Julie used to sing for the Marlboro commericals ("You get a lot to like in a Marlboro. Filter, flavor, pack or box"). Smoked that brand for years! Gone, but definitely not forgotten. Still have 8-10of her albums. My all-time favorite female singer.
I fell in love with this velvety voice. I can listen to her again and again...reality seems to be so far for me now.Thank you Ms London, thank you paramedic. From Czech.
I am under thirteen (not going to specify) and I know about and love Emergency! can you believeit also Dr Brakett (Robert Fuller)is still alive.

I think Diana Krall is influenced by Julie's style, perhaps unintentionally. Pretty obvious when you listen to this song.

@hkjazz1 dianna krall is not even in her league

@hkjazz1 Diana Krall is a piano player who sings a little. London was a singer. Apples and oranges.

@kcmt01 I did not make any comparison of Diana Krall. They are of different generations.

No tension at all! Jack Webb was the one who wanted Bobby troup to play the role of Dr. Early. They worked very good together.

Gale Robbins and Julie London: both of them singing this song would be too, too much. Unfortunately, the Robbin's version is not available on UT.
Thanks for the posting.
