  • I was left breathless...magnificent!!!

  • Loooovely! :-)

  • what is it he says in 01.08 ?

  • I was watching Silent Running last week and realised 'What about the forests' is a direct sample from that film. They have another song called Silent Running. For anyone who hasn't seen the film. I'd recommend watching it. 65daysofstatic have recently compiled a score for the film, but I would prefer to hear Carbon Based Lifeforms' version.

  • Geaxi Marius says NO to deforestation!

  • This is probably my favorite CBL song. The part at 3:xx minutes is pure ecstasy

  • So it seems... this is the only place that I can escape from my tragic reality... This place has been shaped in my thoughts in my conscience by the images projected from this song in my head. It feels like the world can be ours even if it's only for a few hours safe and peaceful:D

One day I may ask if such place ever existed or if it was just the product of my imagination.

Are thoughts real, do them exit? HOW EXISTENTIAL!!!

  • @lorddavid05 It is our reductionist society that has convinced us that nothing can be said to be real unless it has physical form. Ofcourse thought are real :)

And imo, existentialism is a intellectual way of 'giving up' on the grand questions of mind, spirit and cosmic conciousness. The philosophy 'teaches' that we really shouldn't care and that we should think about ourselves instead. Its anthropocentric and sick imo.

  • I wish i could live in this world which its been heared by my ears....

  • Im learning about photosynthesis in class, this explains everything to me!

  • Eheheheee~

    n.n

  • sweet chill out

  • super

  • @MithrilDwarf81 That's the problem with our society. When one sees something they don't quite understand, or doesn't see a clear benefit from something, it is usually dismissed, ignored, or trivialized. And you're correct, LSD is bad for some people and so are drugs. Some people would not have the same experience as I have had. Its more that I had the capacity to feel the way I do. This drug didn't open that up but just made it more clear to me.

  • I think you're just being defensive about it because your finally legal age, and you want to experience it for yourself. I'm not stopping you, but I'm just speaking my mind. The way you were talking before was missunderstood, as something like a cult leader would say.

  • I agree with you that alcohol "can" be bad for you, if abused to the point of being drunk. it's ok to drink maybe 3 beers. Bu, beyond that you can start to loose control of yourself.

I also don't have anything wrong with people using medical doses of drugs for their illnesses, But, to abuse drugs for a temporary high, is a different story. It's dangerous, when it becomes addictive. And maybe not for you, but there are people who cant control addiction, and end up ruining their lives.

  • if they didnt play that line so much, I'd like it a little bit more.

  • what about the forests? No. Just Guessing

    No? Just guessing what? LOL

  • We need to unify the collective consciousness of the world. People need to take lsd. sounds crazy but its not. im not gonna say it is life altering for everyone, but I have experienced altered states of consciousness. While in these altered states of consciousness you feel at one with yourself, your mind, and the world. It is an amazing feeling. I was a semi religious person before my experiences, but they have opened my mind and heart up in a way i could never have imagined.

  • @jwheyer Wieeeeerd..... anyway where is the freedom in a mind trapped in a collective conciosness? My mind is my own, and I dont abuse it with LSD.

  • @MithrilDwarf81 actually don't anser that, I dont want to read your stupid pointless comment.

  • @MithrilDwarf81 Okay, your argument, if you call it an argument, says that the mind is trapped in a collective consciousness. Did i say that? I said unify, meaning people need to work together for common goals instead of pursueing individualistic ideals. Your mind is your own, yet you have preconceived notions about something you have never tried. My mind is my own, and will always be my own. I tried L.S.D. and realized it is not what you think. Don't knock on something you nothing about.

  • @MithrilDwarf81 It is not about getting fucked up or twisted. I have taken lsd perhaps 4 maybe 5 times over the course of my life. How many times have you messed up your brain up with alcohol. Not going to lie, but alcohol does more damage to your brain than does L.S.D. While on L.S.D. one can still think rationally, if not more so. So again don't talk about abusing my brain with drugs. You sound like one of those dare commercials.

  • @MithrilDwarf81 If you would like to have a reasonable disccusion, lets do so. Actually please do respond. I would like talk. You might find out that we are not so different from each other. I am a nice person, and if you knew me in real life you would probably agree. I am 21, of legal age, and about to graduate from college in the spring. Thanks for your comment, and forgive me if I sound to preachy or whatever.

  • @jwheyer psilocybin have a more spiritual trip

  • doesnt that make you all dream?

  • the vocal sucks...the instrumental owns

  • This music transcends time and space if you pay attention. Abiogenesis is the best track on this album.

  • what about the forests?

  • @Reg9500 nope...

  • right.the music is deep.i dream about all world and being in many places on earth listening to music like this.

  • Makes you think of so many things.

  • wanna know something messed up? cbl is looked down upon by others in the industry because their music is "simple". goes to show geniuses are never understood in their time...

  • simplicity can be beautiful if done right. CBL does it right.

  • @slipknoticaman666 seriously, that is messed up. i love carbon based lifeforms, and I'm remotely new to ambient and electronic music (only been getting into it for the past 2 years). In my opinion, ambient is a genre of music that has its focus more on the atmosphere and portraying a point or idea, kind of like punk music (but of course the sound and message is way more agressive and rebellious hahaha).

  • @slipknoticaman666 For other in the industry, music may be an industry, but to cbl it definitely is a form of art...

  • awesomely creative

  • thanks

  • amazing

  • really deep music. sound of meditation. planetary consciousness. mind symphony. psybient in its best

  • Nice job! I like it CBL!in this manner long

  • damn great
