what I dont understand is if youre going to make a movie adaptation why not make a true adaptation, why didnt they use Bateson? and they fucked up the story too, I didnt like the fact that he wasnt a clone in the movie but an orphan, the whole clone aspect is what is so intriguing about HITMAN, I hope one day they do a reboot of the movie and do it properly.
Personally I don't think Olyphant was really that horrible with the role, but he just doesn't have that roughness for it, hes too effeminante. Yeah Bateson would have been the more obvious choice, but Hollywood rarely goes for potent accuracy when it comes to adaptions.

@DillenB93 In the game, he makes the dark sound on purpose. This is the actual voice actor and character mode base from the game and it does soud very close to him, but this may be his natural voice, which even this isnt that different.
Wanna know why he wasn't in the film? Marketing scumbags who want a big name actor rather than the right man for the job. To be honest however even if he was in it, it wouldn't have made the movie. The screenplay was terrible.

I don't dislike Timothy Olyphant in general, he was pretty cool in the latest Die Hard movie... but there's no way he could possibly be Agent 47.
David Bateson here would have been da man... too bad he didn't get his chance... he doesn't need to play 47, he IS 47!!!!

what I dont understand is if youre going to make a movie adaptation why not make a true adaptation, why didnt they use Bateson? and they fucked up the story too, I didnt like the fact that he wasnt a clone in the movie but an orphan, the whole clone aspect is what is so intriguing about HITMAN, I hope one day they do a reboot of the movie and do it properly.

Personally I don't think Olyphant was really that horrible with the role, but he just doesn't have that roughness for it, hes too effeminante. Yeah Bateson would have been the more obvious choice, but Hollywood rarely goes for potent accuracy when it comes to adaptions.

@DillenB93 In the game, he makes the dark sound on purpose. This is the actual voice actor and character mode base from the game and it does soud very close to him, but this may be his natural voice, which even this isnt that different.

Wanna know why he wasn't in the film? Marketing scumbags who want a big name actor rather than the right man for the job. To be honest however even if he was in it, it wouldn't have made the movie. The screenplay was terrible.

David Bateson has one of the best voices ever and 47 is one of my favourite video game characters and one of the biggest reasons is him doing the voice acting, I hope he does the voice acting for 47 in the next Hitman game aswell =)
