  • Wonderful song! :-)

  • R.I.P :(

  • τι κομματαρα!!!

  • I want to marry the singer? Now?

  • I just came here to look at this band , cause today a guy came to my school , he is a drummer, and he talked about drum profession in my music class.. he said that he help with the drum in some Savatge's songs... and he met them lol I wanted to ask for a sign T.T

  • @MissRenesmeePretty What was his name?

  • @chrismacry i totally forgot... sorry :/

  • Internet censorship is being pushed through conservatives because no other group would want it to happen. Whether or not they're supporting it, that's still the slant that's being taken and I really couldn't give a rats ass who thinks what as long as that garbage never gets passed. Because once censorship starts, the people in power will use their vast resources to twist and mold it until it's another powerful tool for maintaining control of the population.

  • WHAT THE FUCK? WHO WAS THE FUCKING,RETARD, EXTREMELLY HUGE FAGGOT WHO DISLIKES THIS AWESOME PIECE OF GENUINE ART????

I DON'T WANT TO LIVE IN THIS WORLD ANYMORE..........................................

  • @RanaMariwana

    Good. Kill yourself, you're annoying.

  • *that, not than

    >.>

  • Criss, you are missed significantly. Incredible song from one of the greatest albums of all time.

  • Ο ορισμός του classic metal

  • such a masterpiece!! rips my very soul apart!

  • Meisterwerk von Savatage.

    Fängt so unschuldig an.....

  • @newmans1985 maybe they just don't like the song, not everyone is going to be gaga or beiber fans if they hate one fucking song.

  • Sounds like Eargasm

  • saw this song and went straight to amazin click buy with 1 click dotn even care

  • I've seen them two times live in Bremen / Germany, 1995 and 1996!

Great band, still have all of their records with Zak!

Thank's a lot for this great band!

  • The first Savatage song I've heard in my life. A fantastic tune.

  • There is no bigger sava fan than i .

  • best band of all time !!!

  • The fattest guitar tone I've ever heard.

  • THE BIGGEST SIN IS TO DISLIKE THIS VIDEO , thumb up if u agree

  • @95cobhc - Now go buy EVERY Trans Siberian Orchestra cd!! As the guitarist died during this tour (I saw them twice on the Edge of thorns tour) T.S.O. played (and re recorded the Savatage song Believe on the Night castle cd) on tour - I gave my thumbs up - I am asking you to step up and share knowledge that a death from a drunk driver not be in vain

  • Not impressed their other singer Jon oliva is much better to me,hell the new singer from the band Edge of thorns is way better than this guy.

  • buern video stratovario y savatage de lo MEJOR!!!

  • buern video stratovario de lo MEJOR!!!

  • this right here, is TRUE music! REAL instruments and none of that remixing shit, REAL voices and none of that autotuned shit, and the song has nothing to do with sex, weed, or money. this is the kind of music that is written by TRUE artists!

  • Sooo much better than GaGa and Beebier!

  • Face it...Rap is short for Crap, Rock and Metal are REAL music. AND ON THE EIGTH DAY, GOD CREATED ROCK -N- ROLL!! AND THE LORD HE SAID...GO BANG THY HEAD!!! Just quoteing Kiss and Heaven there, not original.

  • "But I don't think about you anymooooore"

  • All that rap does is explain the gangster life they live, and not even in a fun way, they just talk about what they do and like rather than telling a story, have you ever heard a rock song that sang "pussy money weed"? No, first of all, they'd never be so narrow to say it like that, it's much deeper "Have another toke, have a nickle for the night, yeah she blew my nose and then she blew my mind"... point is, I don't like rap because it's not deep enough, now let's listen to this song again...

  • @olafur333 Not all rap is like this. You've never been exposed to underground rap, have you?

  • @Rubyiris There is one rap song that I know of that I actually like, it has lyrics that are extremely meaningful, Malone Lives by Quarashi, but no I have not been exposed to underground rap, if there is a song you have in mind where the rapper isn't trying to be a hardcore motherfucker, or feeling sorry for himself, I'd like to hear it...

  • RIP Chris you were an amazing guitarist and it was a pleasure to share the stage with you.

  • After all these years, and every single damn time I listen to ANY Savatage tune (which is all the time), I still can't for the life of me understand why they weren't huuuuuuge

     \m/

  • uhUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • I miss the old days when music was original, movies were original, TV shows were original and if you did something stupid you had to face consequences. Real ones not stupid politically correct bull.

  • @QueenSmokesAlot

You got that right! Perfectly said.

  • Comment removed

  • @QueenSmokesAlot I screwed up on my comment, I meant to say experience. Sadly, I wasn't around to have experienced those days but at least the music still lives on. Keep on rocking!

  • Savatage if i go away. tune in

  • hell yeah, just listened to that song yesterday on our local radiostation....

ooooh yes, the gates are opened wide an i got my both feet and also my backside with a big jump into the true music-temple...

  • Hmm, confused me this one. I had a few clips open to listen to as one finished. I pressed play here and thought it was Queensryche until I double checked. Top solos, and base work.

  • Comment removed

  • This is the one song that I have to blast in my ears, it's so powerful. I love it.

  • has to be up there with the best guitar solo's ever..rip

  • This is a great Deathly Hallows fanvid waiting to happen, if only I knew any tech geeks. LOTR, too, for that matter...

  • I love his voice.

  • Savatage

  • Savatage will always rock on. Remembering them doing the Clearwater gig as Avatar and will always be playing their songs. The Olivia Brothers are the best. We all miss you Criss and Dawn. Haven't heard much of Jon lately.

  • First time seeing or hearing this, and i must say that i'm impressed.

  • "I don't think about you anymore, I'm just gonna write you a song" :P

  • @ElgartheWise I was just thinking this

  • The good old Times are over. I Think. bands like Savatage and all the other melodic metal bands will never come back. But it was a wonderful time with very very good live concerts.

And so many good die young!

  • @1999dua

Tell me about it. I have loved Savatage since gutter ballet days. But there's nothing new coming out from any of the major metal bands ever. I live in the US, but I started listening to European hard trance. Never could of seen that coming in a million years, but at least it's energetic music and non-commercialized.

  • I remember these guys playing local clubs when i was little. So many good bands came from my hometown.Tampa is the best shithole in the world.

  • @Xen5s they are not from florida's "asshole" tampa, but rather palm harbor(avatar was formed there in 1979 and became savatage in 1983).they played almost exclusively on the tampa circuit till 86.they made several appearances in tampa most memorable was jons farewell in 1992.I know cause I grew up with them,oh yea lets not forget tampa was were criss was killed.rip criss and dawn(2005)

  • God i love his tone and style!!! After Randy Rhoads, he is my favorite guitarist!!!! May he rest in peace and jam with Randy, Dime and Jimi in Heaven!!!

  • I think he does think about her

  • Theres No way this could be better .. this is just the best in the world !!! if you don`t like it don`t waste yout time Pressig the "Thumb Down" just F.O.A.D !!

  • He says "but I don't think about you anymore". He obviously does because he keeps talking all the time about how he doesn't :)

  • Best Savatage album

    Good song!

  • Awesome song - AWESOME voice!!! I am from FLORIDA and I can say that a lot of good things (and MUSIC) comes from here!! :)

  • awesome song and an awesome band. one of the best progressive metal bands ever to come out next to Queensryche, Rush, and Dream Theater :) R.I.P. Criss Oliva

  • finally something good that came out of florida lol

  • they're very extraordinary band ... by far 1 of the metal bands with stunning awesome guitar work

  • Amazing song. I found the video disappointing, because of course when I hear a song like this, it 's effect on the brain- or my brain at least - is to mentally compose the video that I would make for it, where I the own making the video. Of course that video to actually put on film, might have been beyond the budget of Savatage at that point. Fast forward ahead 18 years, and CGI would make it much more cost effective.

  • This song is awesome ....................... great lead solo ,awesome vocals, catchy melodies, should be required listening in music classes in America so todays children will know exactly what real heavy metal is supposed to sound like. Any one agree?

  • I have seen you on the edge of dawn

Felt you here before you were born

Balanced your dreams upon the edge of thorns

But I don't think about you anymore...

  • a great song from an unforgetable metal era !!! where are these songs today (??)

    multumesc pentru video

  • Danke Patrica, Savatage ist ja wohl richtig geil...

  • great song, enjoyed watching this

  • great song, enjoyed watching this

  • the dislike button is like Justin Biebers penis.. it only grows when fags touch it

  • 12 people would'nt know good music if it punched them in the head.

  • I cant believe a master piece like this has only 355k views and crap like Rihanna have 140+ million views! People have got it so terribly wrong...

  • @OmarRulez It's the dumbing down of our culture. They want us to be less intelligent. Why else would they spend so much time trying to convince us that Bieber,Gaga, and rap crap are worthy forms of music, and libertarians and repubs are oppressive.Democrats are the usurpers of freedom.Anyone from the 80's has got to remember the pmrc trials. It was Al Gore and his wife that tried to BAN metal music entirely. We gotta start looking closer at who's realy trying to control every aspect of our lives.

  • @Juras187 Its not just your culture, I see these thoughts transcended to the entire world. The United states doesnt lead the world by power only, its pop music, fashion, defining whats "cool" and fast food chains :) I live in Egypt and one way or another, Al Gore's thoughts of banning metal music have been planted over here. What i would hope to see after our recent breakthrough is freedom of thought and freedom of speech. just want to add a "screw beiber" at the end.

  • @Juras187 Real music will defence itself:) I love metal and rock music and blues cos its a music from the heart. Savatage, Avantasia, Sonata Arctica and etc Also Behemoth...polish death metal band...it's all music for people who wants to listen it and I know that there r and there will be soooo many people who will listen music like this> Cos pop music is popular but its not for all:) God bless variety;)

  • @Juras187 Censoring is pushed by republicans just as hard though for "family values" aka white christian people, and anything else shouldn't be able to play, Evangelicals and conservatives are much worse in terms of censoring public media at least in in the past 10 years or so.

  • @metallicatilldeathhh Just not true,I'm white, conservative, but not a christian,I'm an agnostic and not one consevative that I know is trying,or wants to control/censor the internet.Things like this are unthinkable in most consevative circles.

  • @Juras187 What are you smokin'? The conservatives currently in control of the GOP want to dictate what you read, watch, listen to, your spiritually beliefs, your body,, even what you freakin' eat. That whole 'pro-gun' stance is merely a tool to distract the gullible and poorly educated from just how much the party is gradually taking away. In reality, the only ones they want to have guns are their hired muscle. The better to enforce the return to the days of the 'Company Store'.

  • @ShariSez Where are your facts to back any of this up?They don't exist!Who are the food police runnin' around tellin everyone what to eat?

No salt in this town, can't smoke here!

Seriously in California when they put the legalization vote to the people opinion polling showed that the public was in favor.AG Eric Holder in the Obama administration said that they didn't care what state passed marijuana legalization they would STILL bust and prosecute users regardless of a states laws.

    FACT!

  • @metallicatilldeathhh Censoring is being pushed for far more insidious purposes than are being stated. The current free flow of information over the internet is the biggest threat to REAL world leaders than they've ever faced. They want to control it just like they do the media so they can keep the people ignorant to what they're up to. It is imperative that this never be permitted to happen regardless of what other aspects of the internet the conservatives don't like.

  • @urborg74 Conservatives are the ones FIGHTING the internet control vehemently.Seriously do a little research.I'm not trying to be a dick but it is the truth, and the FCC fairness doctrine crap are not republican/conservative bills currently being pushed.Look it up.

  • @Juras187 It wasn't just the Democrats who were involved with the PMRC. And while you're looking there, I suggest you take a look at the REAL reason they were distracting you with the parade in DC. (hint: hidden tax you pay on blank cassettes/video tapes) - If you think what the Dems have done is usurping freedom, how about that whole Dubya 'winning' thing in Florida? Yah, see? Hope so.

  • @Juras187 Amen brother! No truer words have ever been spoken! ***R.I.P. Criss*** ROCK ON!!!

  • the beginning of this video looks one of those wildlife protection psa they used to air in the mid 90s. great song none less.

  • CRISS where are you ?

  • This should be the intro theme for every programme of the national geografic!!!!

  • I found this album at streetlight record used cd for$ 7.99. moving on two isles back was KINGDOM COME'S bad image album. a great find since the pharoahs arc i guess

  • AN OFFERING OF REASON!!

  • great great great great F****N awesome song !!

  • We all have different tastes , thats ok but METAL still rules.

  • "IF YOU ARE THE METALHEADS IN THE SHADOWS PUTTING TOGETHER A METAL ARMY TO TAKE DOWN MODERN DAY MUSICAL SHIT AND BRING BACK THE DAYS OF HEAVY METAL AND THRASH METAL HELP ANOTHER METALHEAD OUT AND CHECK OUT MY PROFILE IM STARTING A THRASH METAL BAND AND THE NAME IS CAPITAL PUNISHMENT. I HAVE 1 GUITAR TRACK DONE FOR A SONG TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK OF IT . ANDI N THE WORDS OF DAVE MUSTAINE "RATTLE YOUR GODAMN HEAD.""

  • Every rose has its dorns

  • BUT I DON'T THINK ABOUT YOU ANYMORE

  • How can anyone say Zach was generic? Are you really listening? The man has an extremely powerful voice... He was hand picked by Jon and Chris... Zach is a great choice for a replacement for Jon and is an awesome talent.

  • This is a damn good song, but man could it have been great had Jon Oliva sung it instead. Zach was good but generic; Oliva's one-of-a-kind. I still really don't understand why he left the vocal role after turning in the performance of a fucking lifetime with "Streets," but I was never able to get into Savatage the same way after, even though the songs stayed strong. This album's still a keeper for Criss's guitar playing, though; he was a monster and never got his due. RIP.

  • @Deathmetallable me too xD

  • this is one of thousand reasons why metal is so much more than any religion ...

  • for the 12 who gave it thumbs down why did you show up here? go listen to your lifeless crap

  • I like this band....

  • Natureinblack im gonna have to disagree with you there. Metallica was more popular there for had more of an influence on the public, some obliviously influenced more music and considered more inventful, because their porduct is more widely used. Now just because you like music that you think is "better" because not as many people like is dumb, history will define people as you false, think of hitler and the nazi party. they thought they were better because they were different.... n they crazy

  • anyone who thinks metallica is anything less than a legendary band needs their head examining. metallica are true giants of heavy metal and must have inspired 95% of heavy bands around today.

  • @jimmyshitbags the stuff from the bags has reached your head... Metallica are just a bunch of crusaders of metal and would do anything for easy money! They cant ispire anything more than Lady Gaga and Army of Lovers!!! Giants... Pfff!

  • @Webtermite they might be a shell of their former selves now but back in the 80's their music was real and untouchable.

  • @jimmyshitbags They were gods of metal back in the 80s but it was all downhill after the Black Album, plus I honestly would've thought that with Rick Rubin, who produced so man classic Slayer albums, producing Death Magnetic, it would've been badass. Sadly I was mistaken. So I will just listen to Kill Em All all the way up to Black Album.

  • @Destroyer4292 Gotta agree. Then again, Death Magnetic was the best album Metallica's put out since Black. Maybe if they got rid of Lars..........

  • @jimmyshitbags somewhat true.. if you are talking about nu metal and that sort, pantera had the most huge influence on them ;)

  • Thanks for putting this up, it's always been one of my favorite Savatage songs.

  • Hey, i've downloaded the Classic Savatage video"Hall Of The Mountain King" and i posted it on youtube in HD (I really downloaded the savatage music clip and posted it on better quality, NOT SPAM), please check, trust me!

    Hail Savatage : watch?v=jAukGWuVyEo

  • @RockGTA I went to high school with criss(jon, and steve werent in school then).I got to see them preform in our h.s. auditorium under there original band AVATAR a recording I still have today(mostly Van halen covers)the vice principal killed the power in the middle of eruption, criss got so pissed he punched the wall broke his hand and couldnt play for 2 months!I got to see the very first time they played sirens live.(criss jon and steve were the only original members)

  • Love this video.

  • Dont smoke....

  • just a little useless information for you all,,, This was the first song Zak recorded for Savatage! carry on!

  • @TrazomNov

This was the first album he did with them. This also was the last one that they did with Criss.

  • i think they got a two for one filming with Death and "the Philosopher" video

  • Bosque de la marijuana?

  • Huh! Rap music steals their music and melodies from true musicians!!! Dont Bother Trying too compare!!!

  • dont even come to talk about rap in a metal video, we care about musicians who can actually play an instrument, we care about those who can really sing, and we care for bands that have great lyrics, not this futil stuff that rappers talk about...

  • @asgardthor123 don't forget "..and those who write their own songs"

  • @quiz9146 you are right, never forget those who can write their own music =D

  • @asgardthor123 right on

  • @asgardthor123 hell yes, i agree, savatage, bet band besides iron maiden!

  • @asgardthor123 thats right man

  • @asgardthor123 yes!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @asgardthor123 we listen to music not pre-packaged piece of nonsense that got no other meaning than shooting people and smoking weed with greasy plastic barbie bitches swinging around flaunting whatever they have, wheres the modesty in life nowadays?

savatage kill all rap and RnB songs with just this one, this solo is awesome aswell

  • @asgardthor123 And for people who actually care about their music not for the money.

  • @asgardthor123 Rap isnt music its trash , this is great soulful meaningful music from the heart

  • fuck you man metalica is fucking crazy man but not the best metal band of course and

  • jon olivas pain had better grit from jons voice but its still missing criss

  • This song is a remnant of an era not so far away... The difference is that there was still magic in the music then...

  • Is this song similar to 'Tubular Bells' ?

  • THIS SONG FUCKN ROCKS...WHOLE CD ROCKS REALLY!!!

  • metallica n' black sabbath are the most overrated bands......

  • @1Myster1ouS1 wowow why we r calling mettalica as the metal band? Black sabbath is closer...its metal:)

  • @1Myster1ouS1 You must be kidding! Both bands are majestic in their songcraft!

  • this is fantastic. must have heard this song about 25 times in the past week now.

  • Dum ass savatage was around before Metallica

  • @Monkybomb1 EXACTLY MAN!!! :D. Metallica is still cool though. Just... Savatage is way better. This is just an opinion by the way.

  • Right when things really kick in at :39 I get chills.

  • YOU-GUYS-WILL-LIKE-MY-BAND-IF-YOU-LIKE-SAVATAGE-GO-TO-MY-PAGE-AND-CHECK-IT!!

  • @Livingrockband I love it man. Good riffs \m/

  • @Livingrockband The song Dominion was VERY good.

  • Love the viking movement of drums, Metal is everything.

  • i love this fucking video ...

  • Oh man how many people here know how to D minor?

  • For me, they are among the best metal bands!!!

  • I prefer shakira

  • @scratchneck

and i prefer to kick poser´s out of here! :-)

  • Never heard of them before

  • So few views for such a great song! I really can' t understand why!

  • One of the best bands ever...True talent

  • Idea for Rock Bands today. Watch a few of these awesome 80s Metal Vids and take notes. Perhaps you'll make some music we'll buy ?

  • Anyone know where this was filmed? What an amazing location.

  • true artists!!!!!!!!!!!! u Fucking ROCK!

  • Zak Stevens has an AMAZING voice, and Criss Oliva...a true Rock God. Who are the bassist and drummer, though?

  • @bratty171 Johhny Lee Middleton is the bassist and Steve "Dr. Killdrums" Walchoz was the drummer at this time.

  • @robinkom Thanks. I thought it was Johnny Lee but had no clue about the drummer.

  • great song , almost 20 years ... it will last another 200 .

  • Love this song

  • Pure F*cking Metal!! Criss Oliva Alive!!!
