I've always maintained that race/religion, etc doesn't matter, and that the solution has always been, and still is, to abide to international law (UN resolutions for peace)

Fair to look at the death counts from 1987 to 2008, before the Gaza conflict. Palestinian Dead - 6497, Israeli Dead - 1484, then add operation 'Cast Lead' where the death toll is Palestine 1417, versus Israel 13. These numbers clearly reveal who is the biggest aggressor, also we can add blockades that prevent food and medicine, water shortage, demolition of homes and farms.... really hard to stay impartial.

But the Jews were victims of the holocaust, this apparently gives them everlasting diplomatic immunity! Although taking my argument to a more serious level, there have certainly been reasons to believe that this has influenced U.S policy towards Israel. The whole never again thing which manages to simultaneously abuse their history while denying the suffering of other victims of genocidal acts.

Its really hard to stay imnpartial, but we can't really ignore the innocent isrealies lives that were lost either. Ultimately, it doesn't matter how many of the dead are israelie or the palestinians, they are all lives lost, and they are all tragic.

Actually the conflict was started when Palestine was a British holding that had been conquered from the former Ottoman Empire, so the conflict is about 100yrs old. It was started to help the Brits keep control over the area.
