  • thats bullshit wheels are not used anymore only in body shops orbital buffers are the way to go because wheels leave makes and youll see that in the sun but orbitil buffrs dont so get a life and learn your job dam every body thinks they can be autodetailersl thes days

  • love the wheels man what are they and what size

  • God damn that's shiny!!

  • @B15247 One thing is to hide swirls, not professional at all and ANOTHER TO REMOVE SWIRLS only the real detailers or very good detailers can achive this it seems so easy, but believe me it takes a of to time to master it

  • what's the speed I couldn't really hear you

  • Dark colored cars are beautiful but get dirty soo quickly, I have a dark blue and it's gets dirty really fast.

  • "Now im gonna show you how to polish your car. Bakesickly..."

  • That reflection comibh off that car already looks like a flatscreen tv

  • It would be nice to see him polish a car that wasn't already dipped in glass.

Can someone get back to me on this. I have an orbital buffer that my dad got decades ago. We only have cotton pads for removing excess wax. I have some zaino polish but want to know if I can go get a foam pad for the buffer i have and use that for polishing. I don't think hand polishing would be very effective (or fun) and orbital buffers "simulate" hand motion so it would probably be a waste if time right?

  • Do people actually drive these cars? I wash mine, polish wax etc...2 days later its dirty again!

  • nice batmobile :-)

  • is that just a regular grinder tool?? i have one but idk if i should use it because im not sure if i should or not

  • @whatismynamedude No dude, you should use polisher/buffer like one in video DeWalt or Makita, grinder is much heavyer and does not have rpm adjustment, not to mention your back would hurt like hell from all that weight in your arms for long time. Most modern buffers have preassure sensitive trigger that is a nice option.

  • ive seen so many vedios about waxing the cars,, they r all helpful to be honest,, but why the hell no one waxes a car in a really bad condition, they all wax really shiny cars already ! like i want to see the difference !

  • @palestinianjerusalem because wax is a layer of protection you don't want to protect a car that is in bad paint condition. What you want to do is compound buff to get scratches out then polish the car to bring it up and make it shine. Then after it's looking nice you want to protect it by using a paint sealant and a wax to add a protective layer. I hope this answers your question.

  • @palestinianjerusalem Good point!

  • @palestinianjerusalem The only time it seems you see things done like that is on infomercials when they're trying to sell you a product that will "restore your junk yard car into showroom condition".

  • Diesel, how do you get rid of holograms? How do you prevent these in the first place? Cheers

  • i have a question for all you car enthusiasts out there, do you purchase any of your car detailing products online? i'm a marketing student working on an automotive brief and for research reasons i am trying to find out what your online activity is like. the more responses the better!! so please don't hesitate to provide feedback, cheers!

  • @stingray131002 i have been detailing cars for years and now i do it as a side job. when i first started i bought all my stuff from local stores but now i only buy certain things, usually microfiber towels or car soap from places like auto zone but the majority of things i buy online. most sites have exactly what i need and i can purchase everything at once without making a trip to 5 different stores.

  • @steven15068 thanks so much for you response!... what website do you use and what brands? if you don't mind me asking

  • Thanks for sharing! I agree, i prefer to keep the pad flat on the panel. Thanks again!

  • lol I hope he is good at his job.

    2ft by 2ft = 576 inches square.

  • @getoffdeez06 he said 24 inches SQUARED.

  • loved the vid, nice car, olds 442, different rims for me though:)

  • Nice video but i prefer a great shine without all of the work.

  • That's a sweet looking car.

  • how to shine an already shiny car!---nice! Hope you would make a video of how to remove dents from a car without dents in the future.

  • @ScarredHand lol That was funny cuz what you say is so true .

  • Comment removed

  • @mikemer79 What? How did you get racism from that??? you stupid or something?

  • what goes first? wax or polish? and for polish, do I use a wool polish pad or a microfibre polish pad? since I have both.

  • @PAPO9609 I'd reccomend getting a foam pad with a nice dual action orbital polisher (IE: Griot's 6" Orbital Polisher or Porter Cable 7424XP). First is a good wash, then its clay bar, then its polish, then its wax. Polish gives paint the deep gloss/helps clean your paint and will assist in removing small hairline scratches. Wax is a sealant, basically is laminating your high-gloss polished paint to keep it protected from the "elements" (whatever they may be in your area).

  • @dsottum oh thanks so much for the help! just one more question if you dont mind, in the polishing process, my orbital polisher comes with 1 applicator bonnet and 1 polishing bonnet, so for example if I want to polish, do I put the polishing bonnet and polish or do I have to use the application bonnet to apply the polish product and THEN polish. If you can help me, I thank you so much!

  • that angle drill is a little much for polishing a car isnt it??

  • basically its wat you wanna do guys. lol good advice tho this guy is good

  • Wow nice job. Thank you.

  • This guy could be easily on TV; great eloquence

  • Pittman's "VaporWax" is all you really need, go to ebay, it'll cost, but it's way better than regular wax, it actually conditions the paint and it's a non-abrasive spray!

  • mmm....not sure about this...but hey, i am from England living in Australia taught by the big red cars.....but interesting

  • I like the video, but what I don`t get is why he`s teaching people how to do what his business does... Stealing his own business....Kinda funny!

Thanks for the vid, I`m off to polish my ride an put it up for sale ;)

  • @cyclecharged in a way yeah but not really, i'm here because i started a job as a car detailer at a body shop and wanted to learn some tips on how to do it. and its for people who don't really have trust in other people touching their car and want to do everything themselves

  • If you dont keep your pad flat when polishing then you WILL get holograms....Not good !!! You should finish off with a lighter grade polish as well, this will leave a deep shine and eliminate any swirl marks and hazing caused by the compound ;-)

  • I think you are getting holograms je je.. Am I laying?

  • Je je

  • BUFF YOU.............;)

  • first reason why this guy doesnt know whathe is doing...he is polishing with a ROTARY , what seems to be already good paint.....the rotary will remove wayyyy too much clear...so why is he doing it that way?

    weird.

He should be using a d/a polisher......these rotaries can cause holograms, buff marks for those that are not experienced...and regardless..you shouldnt use it on this car..it doesnt need it...anyway....

  • @distrunner10k This car was freshly painted. It was just wet sand and buffed by me. When polished properly holograms don't accur. Sorry don't know how to do it correctly. Rotories are cool as well, but this wasn't a video about using a rotory. This car was used as an example 2 prove if done correctly, u neednt fear a job of this caliber. Before u say, I don't know what I'm doing and ruin the business that I've worked so hard 2 build. Understand that ur way isn't always the right way. peace

  • @MrDieselmadkins Don't pay attention, we all see you know what you are doing, because with this look of paint before and after, you clearly know how to use rotaries :)

  • very good demonstration skills :)

  • @ man thats a nice car!! but y do everybody always use compound on finish car?me myself i only use a one step glaze, den i use a sealer to finish up,i love black cars!!! chi-town shakey the best in the mid-west(emersont69@yahoo.com)

  • @ man thats a nice car!! but y do everybody always use compound on finish car?me myself i only use a one step glaze, den i use a sealer to finish up,i love black cars!!!

  • Man, u are on it! great instruction! rpm levels, presure, motion, and surface area. step by step. thumbs up!

  • wow amazing car :-D great advice too. I take my hat off to you yanks and your modified cars. Modern Art on wheels :-D.

  • This guy, really know what he's doing, following his advice made me able to remove 3 key marks from my new car, using his video, and detailing it compeltely, using my buffer, starting from wash, clay, polish, wax, and full interior detail. I have used his methods on different cars, and Diesel, you really know what your doing, keep it up!

  • didnt know you could polish a polished car

  • so do i wax then polish or polish then wax ??

  • @TheAvihs polish and wax, if u wax the car first the polisher will take off the wax.

  • This guy works strictly on PIMP cars only.

  • wheres your window cleaning video D ?

  • Comment removed

  • Why not post your video on valeters.com The forum for valeters and detailers

  • cars are nice but why do "this" guy love massive rims. it kinda makes it look bad.

  • ITS ATLANTA! NOT HOTLANTA!

  • We had one of those Hand Buffer's where I work now but Paul who bought it in seemed to found that even useing it properly, can still put scratches on the cars. So we only do it all by hand and is an eco friendly carwash in Exeter, UK.

When polishing we use clean dry cloths to apply and buff up the car.

  • very positive dude

  • Hi brother needs to chat a, Asian women busizz4me.info

  • The car is totally awesome but the wheels are fail

  • i would pay this guy alot of money to do a FULL wash wax and whatever he does to my car!

  • NOW THAT A MATHAFUCKEN PERFECT COLOR SANDING BUFF JOB WHO DID IT? how much ? . how much just for color sanding and buffing?

  • Great video!

  • looks likes a 1972 Oldsmobile 442. hard to tell not seeing front or back of car.

  • does anyone know what car this is???

  • مشكوووور

  • DONT USE A MACHINE IF YOUR'RE AN ARMATURE

  • @Bo7sainAlenizi He needs a machine, since his lot is full of cars waiting to be done.

  • @leonparry good call good call.... XD

  • @leonparry : you should take your own advice.

    check how you spelled "amateur".

  • @816speed Touche.

  • @leonparry amateur *** you fail

  • @luke34578 816speed has already stated this, well done! Blue Peter badge?

  • @leonparry : LOL why did you delete your comment?

  • great information and instruction. thanks!

  • hmmm... i just bought some diesel shoes... freagin expensive, but well worth it. =)

  • Nice car

  • great buffer...i have the same one, cant go wrong with the dewalt

  • wow.... that car is like the bat mobile goes pimp

  • u great, diesel !!!!

  • "Hi, my name is Diesel" best name ever.

  • okey van diesel>>> how are u man>>>>>> i want ask real Q in my mind>> is it real polish car more than 5 times a week harm the paint??? coz i polish like twice in same time once i hand polish for e.x the front bumper and quik take it off like two tme in a certain spot tell i finish a whole car...is that affect the car paint???

  • Do you know the brand of those rims? Nice vid

  • @WINGZ21 im pretty sure those are forgiato vizzo's

  • ive noticed that after all your stages of buffing people just take a rag and wipe everything clean, a lot of times there putting fine marks into the paint they just buffed out. . I apply liquid wax with a damp spounge over all the left over products, wait for it to dry up and remove. works really well I dont know why no one else does it like that. try it out.

  • best polish, but I use the yellow wool pad with it then gray pad for glaze and swirl remover. I guess it dosent realy matter since the paint is good already, yellow pad is really good for blending, body shop, wet sanding and agressive jobs.

  • what if ya don't have one of those tools and want to polish it the cheap way with some sort of towel?

  • This guy is an idiot!!!

  • @TTBlackOPS And your evidence for this diagnosis would be...?

  • @TTBlackOPS Do tell

  • hey bro, what's is the wool pad used for, as opposed to this kind of pad you're using to polish this?

also, what rpm is it best to polish a car at, what about for removing swirls?

  • @lobzdik

Im a professional auto restoration specialist.

    Im NOT your basic detailer!

I do PDR, winshield respair, headlight restoration, color sanding, and of course paint correction... I have been detailing for about 7yrs. I am also "ACCREDITED" by the state of California as a: RESTORATION SPECIALIST. Which means i have been to school and am certified.

Whool pads: are ONLY used after color sanding, and can ONLY be used on a painted surface TWICE for the life of the paint.

  • @lobzdik

    Part 2

Here is the Color and use for each pad:

Whool: for compounding ONLY, and ONLY after color sanding a painted surface.

Yellow Pad: Heavy Cutting, for compounding. Stay under 1200rpms.

Orange Pad: Medium Cutting, for compounding/polishing. stay under 1500rms.

Green Pad: a TRANSITION pad, for POLISHING ONLY! stay under 1500rms.

  • @CastingStonez

    Part 3

Blue Pad: Polishing ONLY! stay around 1500rms.

White Pad: Polishing ONLY! stay around 1500rms.

Black Pad: Finishing/Polishing stay around 1500rms.

Red Pad: Finishing/Wax pad ONLY! "NEVER USE ON a HIGH SPEED, this pad is ONLY used on a Orbital polisher.

I hope this helps you understand the color and speed to use these tools?

    Big steve from Smartwax

  • bellissima auto... anche se non avrebbe bisogno di essere lucidata ! :-)

  • your speed is to fast you should try polishing at 1000 to only 1300, the speed your working with that's for buffing.

  • niceee..............!!!!!!!!!!

  • no matter what you are going to have swirls marks period

you need to use a cyclone buffer to remove all swirls off any black car

  • Thank you.. Some of you have concerns of the car not needing to be polished, but that paint wasn't always that shiney. As a matter of fact, it had to be wet sanded to get it that smooth. So I used that car to show the process and also show the finished result. Thank you for watching these vids.

  • this dude knows what he doing. but picking that car seemed silly for an example cuz it was already glossy

  • this is for advanced experts. these days we use RANDOM ORBITALS, just consider the consequences of burning a newbs car w/ a directdrive polish . btw. u feel confidence b.c. this person is calm , and intellectual

  • i don't know why...lol but i like this guy!

  • @formula8888 Because you feel "warm and fuzzy" by seeing a non-threatening black guy. That is why.

  • @formula8888 sounds like marcell wallice out of pulp fiction " ima bring medieval on yo ass"

  • @GuitarNoob1989 the quote is actually "im gonna get medieval on your ass"

  • that car doesnt need a polish

  • Very nice, your a good teacher.

  • So does a polish lightly lightly scratch the surface of the clear coat so its even? Im not exactly sure what its doing...

  • good job marketing yourself! i'm also in the industry and hats off. congrats on your success

  • Thank you, very helpful!

  • man tat ride is ho9t!!!!!!!!

  • what car is that?

    helpful video!

  • That there is a sweet Oldsmobile 442 Convertible. Nice video.

  • nice video thanks for posting :)

  • Do you use a rubbing comound? or Polish?? What kind of buffer do you use? Wool or sponge ??

  • Hey urkingod. These vids were timed so there might be a detail or two that were edited out. I am presently working on a dvd that will explain in detail the full process of cleaning your car. So stay tuned. Thank you for your input.
