The vessels don't have to be human. The siestas are already hinted enough to be Maria's toys and the counter parts of the human stakes are just their normal stake form (as shown in ep4 when Ange called for Mammon). And those Zepar and Furfur = Shannon and Kanon rumors aren't exactly right either. They're just the broken golden butterfly brooch from ep2

@SeagullsEatBones I don't know if Zepar and Furfur are the broken butterfly brooch, but you are right about Zepar and Furfur=/=Shannon and Kanon. The ep 2 Tips says that Shannon and Kanon were 'the purest furniture' Kinzo created (meaning they weren't created by borrowing the power of demons).

@MrBernkastel2 It's not really a trap. There's no actual indication that it's supposed to be a female, like with a skirt or anything. Hell, the buttons are on the left side of the jacket, which indicates masculinity, and it's a rule Ryukishi consistently follows. No, it's just someone in a red suit, with a rose and a ponytail. Not necessarily a trap, so much as it's just one of those androgynous "prince" prettyboys.

@YamiAura good point but it is the way the person is presented in the opening.The Krauss/Natsuhi type clothes ,the blonde hair which indicates to people ,that the person is either beatrice or jessica and finally Zepar and Furfur appearing with the person in the front cover ,but its just speculations :p

The blonde hair could indicate his role as the possible murderer, what with the whole Beatrice thing (I also speculate he might be the personification of shkannontrice theory). Zepar and Furfur don't necessarily mean anything, since they already symbolize Kanon and Shannon. Oh, and on the phone, Natsuhi says the voice is hard to pinpoint as male or female.

Alternatively, the grudge is literally against Natsuhi's branch of the family, but the Other!Battler still wants to be an Ushiromiya. Or maybe it's just hateful irony.
