@jimyperez you can have sounf in Reason using asio4all and rebirth input device. Record can have mic and audio tracks like cubase, protools, etc. Reason 4 can also have direct input from soundcard for sampling in the old samplers, like reddrum, nn-xt, nn-19 and nano-sampler in new drum machine.
It's the man or woman behind the program, that gets the results. Granted, Reason has a poor soundengine and the subtractor's overall soundsystem sucks, and malstrøm is full of flaws imo. Thor kicks ass. I hope they change to vst support, else i have to leave reason.
@Tobu02 I agree, I use multiple software when I create certain music. Every single program has it's own unique qualities that make them better then the other. The opposite can be said about them too.
well. reason doesn't support rewire. you would have to get a host such as Cubase, Ableton Live, or Logic and rewire reason into the host. If you're strapped for cash, there are lite versions of Cubase and Live among others that run about 100-200 bucks. They have a lot of features stripped out though. The other option is a torrent. If you do choose to torrent a program, DON'T use it to make money. If its only a hobby for you and you don't make a dime off it, then there is no problem with torrents
i am a reason user. but this shit is funny.

I think reason have very good sounds, but what when you want a sound that isn´t there?
I use multiple software to produce music too, but if reason could have vst and microfone support it would be the best music producing software.

I think people should use whatever software they want to make music, just that they're happy with it :)
I use FL Studio 9 + VST's and i'm happy with that.

I like Reason. I use it as a plug in FLS. So it isn't worthless. Would be a lot better with VST support.

This video is funny as fuck- however, you can do studio quality stuff in Reason. You just have to know how to mix...
