Cool song, great performance as always.. Love what you do at 1:38/near the end too, catches my ear.
Have you played Rocky Racoon? That would sound awesome with your voice, seriously consider It Id love to hear that; as for the robbery, well I myself was mugged at knifepoint recently and I too had a friend who 'took care of a few things..' I hope you get your sweet justice friend
hm..well i am a huge Wings and Jimmy McCulloch fan (if you can't tell by the name) and I was wondering if you could cover Wino Junko since it's never been covered before?
ei there! im sorry to hear that you got robbed here in the philippines, you better kick their ass next time. they are just lameass, uncivilized people. but anyway there still lots of good people here! much better if you stay here in cebu, very peaceful compare to manila.
yes, lots of good people in the Philippines! After I was robbed I was told my "friend" was trying to find the thieves. I didn't know who this "friend" was. It turned out to be the old man on the beach that sold beaded necklaces. He always listenned to me play and sing, and he always smiled and applauded. He was well-known among the vendors, so he went into town immediately and got word out to look for my stuff and the thieves. I was very touched.

thanks - it's great to watch a crabapple live performance half-a-world-away..."...hard times won't kill me - I'll live until I die..." - great line - somehow appropriate to your now...best to you, you're due for good times...
Sadly, the best line in the song I swiped from an old Appalachian song, "I'll eat when I'm hungry, I'll drink when I'm dry, and if the hard times don't kill me, I'll live until I die." It's sort of one of those public domain lines that appears in lots of old songs.
I'm sorry you got robbed. I know how my brand of optimism...the kind that says that everything works out for the best as long as the bad shit is happening to someone else...isn't really appropriate, but I miss our phone conversations and your outrageous biographical missives.
Be well! (YouTube wouldn't let me respond in one fell swoop...had to break it in two.)
Thanks Pete, good to hear from you. I hope to keep posting new songs here on YouTube. Well... the Korean don't give a shit about real American music, but the Filipinos LOVE it. They've never heard it, but they love it. I'll dig out my latest Biographical email and shoot it your way.
Awesome, Dennis. You play well and I completely expected you to turn the camera around to show the Appalachians. What do the local kids think of your style of music? I can only imagine their confusion when you say that it's distinctly American. It doesn't quite jive with Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, or even Def Leppard. (I don't know if the latter is considered an American band anymore...were they ever?)
