Japan wants to return to the population of 80 years ago. They also now live the longest, are quite wealthy, work their asses off, lowest crime. Japan's current wisdom will be judged in 80 years too, i guess.

What future does a little island filled with old people have and utterly hated by a rising hyperpower have?
At least Japanese have a lot genetically close to them potential immigrants in their area who will easily integrate in their society and replace those who have extincted.

People get easily culturally assimilated by natives if they don't look different. Japanese can assimilate Chinese or Korean immigrants. But Europe will never assimilate those Arabs or Blacks.

When our civilisation begins to recover from the disaster our present generation has imposed on it, they will wonder at the madness that possessed us to believe in such insane & suicidal ideas. It will be much like how we today look back on the mania for witch trials & witch hunts in the years following the Reformation. Perhaps they will blame on lead in pipes, as is the case w/ the decline of Rome.
I totaly agree with your post mate. Basically we are in a transition period right now and therefore it makes no sense to predict population figures for the end of the 21th century. On such a long scale, things will definetly work out in a different way to what we predict today.

That is the suicidal notion I'm attacking. As for population trends, I think you'll find that given the length of the time needed for a human population to grow to maturity, things really don't turn around that fast. It takes 20yrs for a human generation to reach an age to reproduce itself sucessfully. That puts in 2031.
