Green ranger was losing his power, and ended up giving jason his power coin, and along with that came the gold, dagger, and dragonzord. Green ranger comes back later as the White Ranger.
yeah like jw said, but the reason he was losing his power is because he was actually a real power ranger his power coin was created by Rita Repulsa making it with Lots of Evil then when Tommy (Green Ranger) Started to Turn good he began to slwly lsoe the power, then Alpha and Zordon re-built him as the white Ranger and new leader of the Mighty Morphign Team XD :p
