  • Turkish Van is f*cking awesome!

  • sweetyyy:))))

  • i went to van and most van cats eyes are one blue one green

  • My cat looks like a Turkish Van, but he has a few too many orange spots on his body. But he does like to gawk when I take a shower (bad pervert kitty! LOL). He is also very playful and affectionate. I just adore him.... :)

  • Wow, watching this makes me feel even luckier that I have one, since they are so rare and I found mine abandoned in the street! I love my kitty so much! :D

  • This was very interesting....there's a lot of history to this cat. I would love to have a Turkish Van, but I doubt I can adopt one since they are so rare...I would most probably have to go to a pet store,...or Turkey.

  • I can't believe they only mentioned a little about this but besides their swimming ability, the other amazing thing going on with them is their eyes are mostly in different colors. Like one of their eyes is green and the other is blue. Fascinating :)

Warriors is too badass to be unknown :I

  • @osmosisjoness I read them :D Warriors FTW!

  • @MintChocolateCow Yeeeeaaah, WARRIORS, BABY. Good-ass books!!

  • They are a lot like my Mini.....:)

  • My boyfriend's Van is a fat little thing, but she's extremely active.

  • i love their eyes . half green half blue . really really great ! :)

  • @Anotheryaoifangirl12 well actually adopting them is kind of impossible because the turkish van's are dying out so they are under protection. even in turkey it's incredibly hard to get one. The egian university (i guess, im not sure) sells them for 200 lira's. that makes over 130 dollars but of course the price will increase in usa. sorry for my bad english, im still learning ^^

  • `Van` is actually the name of the City.In Turkey`s East

  • @halfmumi They r born there ;)

  • @halfmumi Yeah, but sometimes Van was in Armenia.

  • @ProfWorminkle First of all, your grammar is a failure. Second of all, I did not ask you if current Turkish City `Van` was in Armenia or not. If i`d wish to know about Van`s history,i look into history books. Third and finally, VAN is owned by Republic of Turkey. I`m not here to argue,i am here to watch CATS.

  • @halfmumi I know my grammar is failure, 'cause i am Armenian.

  • @ProfWorminkle there was ppl who exist before greecs or egyptians like hittities or sumyrians one of the oldest civilisation in anatolia ..todays turkiye

  • @ProfWorminkle yeah my friends its true but anatolia was homeland for many many many cultures and empires not just armenians or turks or kurds

  • I can't believe you guys even try to make propaganda about where blongs to who under a cat video lol.. Sorry to remind you that these lands were homeland of many various cultures and now it belongs to us for about a thousand years.. And guess what all we ask now is peace instead of hostile propagandas :) So you guys can take a chill pill and accept some facts.. Let it go and work harder for your own country's economical, scientific successes.. And no you can't have a Turkish Van Kitteh :P

  • @halfmumi there's also Van Lake

  • @halfmumi Van is a city in east turkey that was stolen from the armenians during the genocide

  • @ArniParia idiot you are the thieft one .

  • @mutfucktube first of all, you need learn how to construct a sentence. Also, make a screen name which people can take you seriously with.

  • I'd be interested to know how they "test their theory" that other cats don't swim.

  • @a121509 When you put an ordinary cat that doesn't like to swim in the water, it will be scared. You can notice this by the cat's ears. Of course, not all domestic cats are scared of water, but most of them are. Literally ALL Turkish Vans like to swim, like jaguars and tigers. They're just born to swim.

  • The brunette is fit.

  • im pretty sure my cat is part Tukish Van, she recieved the short haired looks, but got the love of water from the TV

  • swimming cats, awesome ^^

  • Mine never, ever shuts up.

  • When my one meows, it (the meow) is very quiet, unless she's asking for food, wants to be let out, is annoyed at me, or I've got my guitar in hand. Aside from that, she's content... and she loves feet (but hates mine cause I always wear socks)

  • We have one in our home. He's so cute and loves water. We haven't tested if he can swim but we can wash it easily and sometimes he drinks water from fauced. After the sun is gone he's very enegrgetic , he runs about 45 km/h in the house.

  • OMG so cute! And it likes water/swimming? WOW haha.

  • I found my now one year old Turkish Van in a dumpster nearly a year ago. She was half dead, but now im happy to say she's a wonderfully happy kitty! Unlike most Turkish Van's she loves to be petted! Her coat is so amazing!~

  • Also according to last news Van University of Turkiye starting to sell some kittens (they are under cover at Van University :) )

  • Well now I know the breed of my cat it all makes sense. Every time I take a bath he tries to get in. I thought he was just being weird. Ha ha.

  • The ancestors of these cats used to swim across the lake Van in Turkey

  • i have a turkish van he was only a week old and we had to bottle feed him.he was so cute

  • I love my Turkish Van named Puddin!

  • i think 3 dislikes are from armenians.. because that s the turkish cat !! ahahaha.. fuckin racist armenians

  • i think i hve a one mixed with another cat! cuz my cat snowball is 'fasinated' with water!

  • @SydneyCelloPlayer7 my cat is "fascinated" with spellcheck

  • Well if you think a little deeper than the curent map You will clearly see that the name has is truly not reasonable, and is only a support of crime. And believe me that I know where my grandfather's home (Van) is

  • Think before giving a name to cats. those are not turkish that's a armenian cat

  • @qerobayn

If you look at a map, you'll notice that Lake Van lies in Turkey.

    The name is very reasonable.

  • @qerobayn dumbass

  • @qerobayn

I believe your dad did mistake without using condom.

  • You can see mine on my channel. He's a great cat and my best friend, but they aren't kidding about them not liking to be held too much. He will be a lap cat once in a while, but only when HE chooses to. (Or if treats are involved...)

  • Purebred Turkish Van cats have 1 blue eye and 1 green eye.

  • my friend has a turkish van

  • 0:35 is funny

  • well, van cats in Turkey are generally all white. they are somewhat endangered, and its discouraged to castrate them. (also its not spelled like "van" as a vehicle, its spelled like "one")

  • >.> I have one of these, when i was a kid he dragged me around the house by my sock... we had thin carpet so i went with him.

  • lol the first time i saw this title i thought it said trash can LOL

  • this narrator is annoying :l

  • That's my KITTY! ^^

  • I own a Turkish Van, she is VERY beautiful. But she is definitely not over weight. And yeah, I'll have to say the same as Eliza. Mine probably won't go swimming, but she tolerates water very well. She is grey and white with apple green eyes. Probably the best and most beautiful cat I've ever had.

  • ahhhhhhhhhhh sooooooooooo cuteeeeeeeeeeeee T_T

  • I have one and its the most beautiful cat ever

  • 0:09 he winked at me!

  • My mom has bred Turkish Vans, but they were very good with small children. Also, they were quite fat. I loved them.

  • 0:00

  • I had a Turkish Van. He didn't love swimming. He tolerated water better than most cats would (you could bathe him and he wouldn't scratch your eyeballs out) but he would never willingly jump in the pool. He was also a fat asshole who hated everyone... but he was still awesome.

  • My Gizmo was a grey and white Turkish Van. Best cat I ever had. Prettiest too. (RIP Gizzy )

  • well, even in turkey we don't see a lot of van cats in the streets.

they are very hard to catch or to find. pure bloods?

    nearly impossible...

  • btw... at 0:40 .... my Turkish Van LOVES to be cuddled! He doesnt want to get off! XD

  • this is why I love my turkish van. :3

  • nop...I cant see Turkish van cats here...you dont know nothing about van cats...orinally crystal white.blue and green eyes...also like swim...only one in the world...so we have best...also we have best dogs I mean SIVAS KANGAL DOG...biggest and best dog...

  • @FINDIKZADELEE Sen Turkmusun :D?

  • In Turkey when I was child there was one Turkish Van in the neighborhood, she had 2 color eyes, she scratched me when I was trying to caress, I did not do anything wrong but I was not her owner either. Ended up in ER because of my extra cautious parents, I had many rabies shots into my belly(old days), and cat was held for observation. They are not bred to be a pet for humans, you need patience with them, you really can't be too direct. so they are not really suitable for children.

  • is it possible for one to be pure white?

  • @AgentToke Yes there are many pure white Van cats. I'm Turkish btw

  • @AgentToke Search for a Turkish Angora if you want a pure white one.

  • so cute !!!!!!! :)

  • silkysmooth which means, skinning and selling it will earn you some nice money, hell yeah thanks for the advice!

  • @regergekowns

Ya friggen moron, I hope you rot in hell

  • my stray cat turned out to be a turkish van....

  • @xxxhannahxzx Mine too!! :D

  • swimming cats I love it!

  • my cat must be like this cause she has a black tail and a spot on his ear......BUT she doesnt like water.help me out pls!!!

  • @Luver123Cat Hey! My cat is a Turkish Van too but he does like water... but doesn't like to be washed! He plays with his drinking water too o.O! So your cat can be a water-disliking Turkish Van or not! But it's normal if they don't like being put in bath etc. But they should enjoy playing with water at LEAST.

  • my cat must be like this cause she has a black tail and a spot on his ear......BUT she doesnt like water.

  • I really luv this cat that I really really want to have a lot of these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @1:43 you can see that all of them have 1 green and 1 blue eye

  • I have one of these, although she acts like she's mixed with a Ragdoll. Totally cute little cats.

  • I want one of these cats! And a silver tabby, and a maine coon, and a tuxedo cat, and a marmalade tabby, and two calicos, aaaaannnnnnnd I'm watching way too much of the Cats musical.

  • I love the turkish van, my cat looks exactly like one so we think that he's part Van. :3

  • My cat looks like a short-haired tabby, but I think he is a turkish van. First of all, he LOVES water, he has amber eyes, he plays with my dog all the time and acts just like one, and all of his brothers are for sure turkish vans, they're fluffy, have a gray tail, a spot on their eye and one somewhere on their side, and they act like them too. So could he possibly be a mix? Will someone help me? XD

  • I have one :3 Names Verginia, in fakt she's right beside me. She's a rambuncious one :)

  • i have a turkish van!!! her name is Lily Vanilly!

  • they look just like my kitty

  • OMG sooo cute

  • A cat that swims?I want one! Probably my dog wouldn't agree....

  • I had 2 cats like that I got from the owner who had to give them away because his girlfriend was allergic so I took them in and they were free and litter box trained but after a week or so the owner and the girlfriend wanted them back because she was getting depressed and taking special shots to get around her aligies they offered my 20 bucks so I gave the cats back

  • My Van is good with lil' children and likes to be cuddled all the time :)

  • I have one! He's awesome.

  • A cat that likes swimming? fuck it! i'm buying one!

  • @VanOostjien yay u need a pooll

  • @VanOostjien yeah my cat scraches me when i spray it with a water gun

  • I thought all of them had 2 eyes with different colours than each other

  • My cat looks like Turkish Van.

  • OMG!!! I WANT ONE!

  • My Van is VERY cuddly, almost to the point of being annoying, but I LOVE him sooooo much. I've had cats my whole life (62 years) and without a doubt Yogi is the best of them all! Smart, cuddly, funny and loves bathes. He even absolutely won over my cat 'disliking' husband. Yogi cuddles up on his belly while he is in the recliner! My Van also is extremely patient with my two grandkids aged 4 & 5. I must the gretly blessed and oh yes Yogi does have the God Spot on his neck. Love him!!!

  • @Cookiejug1 beautiful. And does he swim?

  • Oh, how bittersweet that they have the most wonderful coat in the world but aren't too fond of being petted.

  • @SupaAmi I got a cat from a friend that looks just like these but he has markings on his legs. Is it still possible he's a van? He crouches low when I try to pet him but he doesn't enjoy water too much.

  • @LaurAluu I really wouldn't know, I am no expert on cats. If he wasn't bought from a breeder, I doubt he is pure bred. He might be part Turkish van, though!

  • I have one! He's so mean with other males though...meanie! :-{

  • Hey, is this series gonna be released on DVD, I wud love to buy a copy!!!

  • these cats HATE car rides, trust me

  • @gtaisawesome87 Really? So that's why my cat cries everytime we drive to the vet...

  • @SayuriKurata yep lol ours does too

  • my cat is one

  • I think that turkish vans love children but with little ketchup on top... I love cats but my parents won't let me have a cat at home but when I grow up I'll buy a cat but I can't choose they are all so
