We were the best team over 3 years (1999,2000,2001) with 1 flag to show for it. Really, we should be mentioned in the same breath as the greatest dynastys of all time. Instead, we have only the best ever season to hold our hats on.

Well we won more games than any other team over a 3 year period and won those games by a greater margin than any other team over that period of time. We didn't win in '99 & '01, but over the space of 26 weeks weeks, we were the best side. But as you've pointed out, we didnt win the flag those years.

Brisbane Fan, and yes - the Bombers were the best team for those three years through the home and away season - no question. But true, premierships are remembered - home and away season winners are soon forgotten if they don't win on the last Saturday in September.

Its a hard thing to judge. Hawthorn played in 8 gf's in 9 years and won 5 flags. But the team changed players throughout that era. An incredable "club" era. the Hawk's 88 team was spectaculer . Carlton 95 lost 1 game for the year, Bombers 2000 were awesome, Geelong 2007 were well ahead of everyone else (was it 119 pts in the gf?). Brisbane are arguably the greatest, but so are the rest of the teams mentioned. Its an unfair argument i think. All these teams have been great!
