  • That was so great :D

  • Verz cool, really!

  • What is the game developed with? blitz3d?

  • Thanks...

Yes it was made in Blitz3d. The game world was made in 3D World Studio

  • wow! what a great idea! Keep up the good work :)

  • you can use this on any game, just map the movement of the head to the mouse, i tried it on some fps and it works pretty good, i use it often on racing and flight games, a nice webcam is the only thing you need (30fps min) and if you want axis you can use IR leds.

  • great job guys!

you know how all gamers have health problems from sitting too long in one pose... well you give them a chance to stretch their spine a little :)

  • thank you

i used the methyl-dll and only got problems with it...

i hope the OpenCV-stuff will work. thank you

  • And which dll did u use?

  • None as far as I remember. We used the OpenCV libraries to grab data from the cameras. The camera was a Bisoncam NB pro if that helps

  • Thats cool. I wanted to make something like that with but i had problems with dlls for wabcams... which one did u use?

  • The webcam was a built in on my notebook which was high rez (640x480). That is why the tracking lags a little. With low rex cameras the tracking was realtime and still tracked perfectly

  • very nice idea for headtracking indeed :)

  • Where can i download

  • Very Nice... I've been working with openCV for awhile, and this is a cool application.

Do you have another webpage w/ more info?

  • very good work, ill try to do something like this in m game,

  • I have been able to achieve a face tracker like this the first day I downloaded OpenCV...

  • GREAT WORK!

  • Great work guys... :D (Det er hunme nøj der dur - oversat til dansk... )

  • That's really laggy. There are far better products on the market.

  • Thanks for your comments.

We have no ambitions to revolutionize the industry with our small program. What we DO have though is a small, pretty fast and quite reliable head tracking system. It does not rely on any hardware other than a webcam and it conforms data to a virtual joystick making it easier to implement in games in the future.

The demo in the video is run on a camera that had fps problems. We did a test with several external webcams and they showed almost no lag.

  • this needs to be put in commersial games!

  • looks like a pain in the neck

  • literallly

    cool concept though
