  • i hope casiopea will come to the next java jazz fest... i mean, full member of casiopea.. that would be too great..

  • not bad. melodic but I agree a little on the perfunctory side. not much emotion. good stuff none the less

  • Melody is emotion, man.

  • Too "smooth" for my taste.

  • god, to me this seems like a japanese car comercial from japan, like nissan. xD

  • casiopea!!!

  • hes great but hes 3 finger technique is pretty lame

  • @bustabo23 Yea because I bet you are so much better lol Hey no name nobody, shut the fuck up and let the pro work

  • @MindstormRecs im not better than anyone, i mean wooten´s 3 fingers technique sucks, he NEVER uses it. and hes the best ive heard today. i think if you cant pull of a good sound out of a certain technique you should just not use it. sakurai´s 3 finger technique, at least in this video, SUCKS

  • is there a dvd from this festival?

  • Fantastic .. so smooth .. salam dari jakarta

  • The best bassist in jpn !!

  • still got them crazy shirts.

  • haha hilarious i just watched a bunch of tsquare and ottottrio videos and they all wear the same kind of shirts!

    TETSUO SAKURAI featuring FILO MACHADO

    BRASIL CONNECTION vol.1

  • Cant believe that i missed him in my own country!

  • kevin you are a fag (chill people, i know him lol)

  • john whatever!

  • they are in a totally different genre, dumbass!

you should never compare jazz to rock...ever!

  • Have you ever heard of something called

Jazz-Rock? Hmm? Jazz... what's that word? Oh, now I remember; it's called Jazz-FUSION! It's a Mix of Jazz AND Rock. And it's what Tetsuo plays.

Therefore, the Statement that abebass90 made, applies to Both Jazz and Rock, and is thus, Valid.

    However, Tetsuo's better than Myung.

  • @RaldyV actually real jazz fusion was first created in the 50s with dizzy gillespie(as well as others) mixing jazz and latin musical styles.

  • @lickmyballs2113 Yes, true. But I was replying to someone that said Jazz and Rock are completely different genres. And though that may be true, Rock is technically derived from Jazz.

  • @lickmyballs2113 You're getting way to technical here. Nobody considers "A Night in Tunisia" (Dizzy) to be Jazz Fusion. As long as we're getting REAL technical, Jazz and Latin music together would be considered "a fusion" of sorts. However, people who know fusion consider Miles Davis, Larry Coryell, Herbie Hancock, Chic Corea and the like playing in the Late 60s Early 70s to be "Real Jazz Fusion"

  • @RaldyV

Dude its not Hard to be better on the Bass then John Myung he sucks compared to Jazz Bass players

These are better, Stanley Clarke, Victor Vooten, Tony Grey, Marcus Miller, Steve Bailey

and i am only scratching the Surface here

John Myung is great in Prog Metal and Prog Rock but he has only 40 % the Skill of the Guys i named

  • john myung never cant`n play like tetsuo ....

tetsuo is too good for john... Look at it in gentle heart next to greg howe and dennis chambers

  • Sorry bad typing.

  • Not all of the white skins brothers (like me me) can't sing either.

  • Beautiful

  • The bass sounded like a sweet blowing in the wind until the other guy started to sing. Don't get me wrong, that guy can sing good but C'MON! Can't we just make this song an instumental??

  • this song name is 'I Miss You'

    in Jimsaku's album '45 Degrees'

  • He should add to the video the part where that guy sings...Because he was cool too. Anyways, what a nice preformance by Tetsuo... I love how he draws influences from other countries, it gives a special flavour.

  • I agree with baret this would sound a lot better on a fretless. Good playing here!

  • Well both types are good, the difference counts, but I guess both ways are acceptable.

  • i saw him recently at Java Jazz 2008!!!! What the what?!?!? he really PLAYS the bass, i tell ya! still buzzin' from the whole trip.

  • beautiful lead bass

  • that would sound really good on a fretless not that it doesnt sound good here tetsuo kick ass

  • So amazing,,,

this remebered me some brazilian music!

So cool he has done this!

  • This song is called "Saudade De Voce". Its off of Tetsuo Sakurai's album "Cartas Do Brasil"

  • where can i get the songg!?this is sweet for all bass player to learn

  • this title is alisa played by tetsuo sakurai

  • haeven is near.....soft.....so peacefull....

  • good good.. but where is the rest?

  • that was beatiful,. not overcomplicated or showy just... beatiful :)

  • beautiful lead....

  • anjret !! keren bgtttttttttt

  • these days he looks like Kazumasa Oda.

  • Who is that guy singing?

  • Este es un verdadero maestro, en medio de tanto virtuosismo que raya en el circo de la exageracion, tetsuo tiene el feeling de un verdadero bajista vientos por él

  • so cool
