Lol tried this today, it works 100% :D

what i did:

1. Went to my house in megaton and put all weapons in 1 of the shelves

2. Saved before trying this trick

3. went to moira (?) lol and made sure she had 1 bad laser gun and 1 good 1

4. bought the bad 1, pressed square, solled the bad 1, pressed square etc

5. when she reaches 0 caps or so, go outside and wait for 3 days( more days will increase caps and stock)

6. repeat

@numb19029 this is completely randomized every three days...(a full 72 hours of wait time) while the vendors sometimes have better items or more caps than others no vendors always have the best equipment /caps....the problem is the quantity of items ...moira usually does not sell high ammounts of ammo weapons or armor...Flak/shrapnel do ...the citidel offers better stuff but with the shopkeeper having a higher barter skill prices skyrocket...its basically a win lose situation.

No, But you are more likely to get it to work if you have nothing on you. Say the shop keeper has two laser pistols and you have one in your inventory, if you try to do this it wont work because it only works with shop keeper items and not your own. So if you want to get the most free caps and ammo it's best to bring nothing with you that the shop keeper might be bartering.

When ever I try this the item gets repaired. However the item is still more expensive to buy then i get selling it back. I am wondering if this is due to by barter skill being 38 or the fact that the next highest weapon is only 22 caps more expensive.

Repeat all the above steps all over again as many times as you like or need. In one hour time I made 50000 caps and had 5000 rounds of each ammo type. And that is how you get a unlimited amount of Caps and Ammo.

The Only Problem i Found Was That When You Have The Weapon Back In Full Condition You Cant Do It To The Next Vendor Because He Gets The Fully Repaired Weapon So You Need A couple Of Items That You Can Do It With Say 5 Doubles (Moira Brown, Flak & Shrapnels, Tenpenny Tower, Citadel, Few More in Rivet City)

@xblmanx it has to be the lowest price and the items has to be double with different prices for this to work. it cannot be a food shop or med shop only clothing and armor. first try buying the double items that has the lowest price if you don't get it try buying the highest piece of equipment that is in the double item section you'll see that the price went up when you bought the item now sell it back to him. you can also try weapons in this glitch. I haven't did the trick a long time agocont

The laser pistol is not one you brought with you or sold to the shop keeper correct? The shop keeper must have two of the same items of there own, not ones you've sold them. Just hit the back button while in a shop and wait a few days tell there inventory refreshes, Now buy the cheaper of the two same items that they have. Sell back the one you bought, Buy back the cheap one again, sell it back, buy it again, sell it back. buy it again, sell it back, buy it again. That is all there is to it.

My friend told me you couldn't repair them (I haven't used mine because of that) and was wondering if this glitch would work to make the condition "Perfect" for the armor or gun. @ReignTsrakti Nah. It has to have two of the same items. If you have a high enough repair skill, (mine being 95) you can repair your unique items like the Lincoln Repeater and T5-1b armor to almost full condition. But something like the Alien blaster can only be repaired by a vendor. There's some glitches to repairing it too. Also with the Zeta add on, I think theres a way. Best bet is a high repair skill.

You only need enough caps to buy one of the two same items to get started, I have done this glitch with as little as 27 caps starting out and ended up with 50,000 caps in about one hour time. I did this by buying leather armor, It's cheap and almost every merchant sells multiples of it.

The vendor I went to was out of caps, I waited for 4 days but she re-stocked the items but not the same one, and she only had about 150-200 caps when she re-stocked after the four days. I did it exactly as asked, at first I had no problems but when the caps ended I couldn't buy and sell over and over because she didn't have enough money to buy.

Every 3 to 4 days Flak in Rivet City will have 3-6 mini nukes in his shop inventory. Buy the mini nukes, Do the shop glitch to get them for free, Wait 4 days right there in the shop and then repeat. It took me three hours real time to buy 120 mini nukes. But this is still faster than wondering around the wasteland looking for them.
