Hey biokemiker, You that you don't need to apologize for any mistakes. I am Hassan from Cario, Egypt and I gotta tell you that my ears heard it 100 times before and I it didn't irritate them, trust me :) Consider me one of your fans, I love to listen to your clip a lot. Hope you come to Egypt some day and perform to make ppl how love to listen to piano happy man.
You're GREAT! Just watched this on New Years Day (uh, night). This is one of the greatest of the Viennese operettas and the near pratfall at the end punctuates the comedy of the story. Any minor (and they were vanishingly minor) deficiencies in technique were more than compensated in your enthusiasm. BRAVO!
This is amazing! I definately wouldn't have been able to memorize this 7 minute peice! Also, thanks for uploading! I'm playing this in orchestra and I can hear my part more specifically when you play it.
Brilliant! I was in the light hearted version - Pink Champagne last week and I think both versions are superb. This Overture is bringing the memories back!
it's simply fantastic. I loved the tune, but never found out it's name until now, and now I blame you for having me listening over and over again. I even downloaded it, and took the song to the gym. Anyway, congratulations.
outrageously good, i've watched this vid at least a dozen times and it still makes my hair stand up. do you know where i could get the sheet music from?
thanks so much for commenting on my video. Yes, I know where you can get it from: from me:) Please give me your email and I will send it to you. Kind regards Johnny Fang
@biokemiker Hi, great piece! That is such an awesome job you have done playing it too, well done! Could you please send me the sheet music too? I would be so greatfull if you would! my email is rocker-man067@hotmail.com
@biokemiker Dear Johnny, You are very gifted. Thank you so very much for launching this clip on youtube. The fledermaus was always my favourite operette. Would it be at all be possible to get the sheet music. I would love to to play it and if possible to adapt it for the sax. Thank you very much... And please do keep posting your work. It is an absolute delight to watch and listen to you. Good luck (not that you need it) with the rest of your musical career or passion!!
Sir, you have incredible talent, and you are indeed gifted and deserve world wide recognition. Please can you tell us whether you have produced any CDs I would suspect they could turn into million sellers. Are you performing in any concerts as I would be most interested in attending. Thanks for sharing your fantastic talent with us. I wish you tremendous sucess in the future as you truly and honestly deserve it.
Hi Mike: Thanks so much for your good words. I haven't produced any CD's before as Im only an amateur pianist. Playing piano is only my hobby and I just love to play. Right now Im practising Rachmaninoff's piano concerto no 3, which is absolute my favourite. I've uploaded the cadenza part on my youtube page, please feel free to watch and comment if you want. You are also welcome to subscribe to me if you don't mind. I upload videos quite often. Thanks! Kind regards Johnny Fang
Thanks for your great playing; please give us some more operetta music ('Leise, ganz leise' from O.Straus: Walzertraum,or 'Ja,das alles auf Ehr' from J.Strauss: Zigeunerbaron). Congratulations!

HooksGambit 3 years ago
Hi, thanks for your comment. Do you mean the original notation of this piece? If it is, this was originally written for orchestra.
biokemiker 3 years ago
Thank you for replying. No I was wondering if this was perhaps an other composers piano-conversion of the original.
HooksGambit 3 years ago
Oh, Im not sure if it is an other composers conversion. I dont remember who converted it....

Ok well ill just look for a good version. Thank u for the information.

After watching this, I'm having a hard time stopping myself from running off and teaching myself to play piano. Impulsive, but potentially awesome.
I used to watch a videotape of the Die Fledermaus ballet when I was a kid, and its one of my earliest musical memories. This was just awesome :)
