I would give anything to read those love letters they gave to each other. Too bad the vatican has them. I don't think they're even displayed. Or maybe they were for a little time. Either way, I would love to see them.

@mmmmmvodka Seventeen of Henry VIII's famous love letters to Anne Boleyn exist; and are in the Vatican Library. However, only one of Anne's love letters to the king has survived. There is another one said to have survived from her time in the Tower but it is considered forged. There are some pictures of these letters on the internet and I have links but for some reason they won't post here.

She was beheaded not because she didn't produce a son (from what I remember in the series) but because the people of court hated her and told stories of her having affairs...when she wasn't...the king was angry that she couldn't produce a male heir, but he may have moved passed that and do what he tried to do with Catherine, get her to leave...unfortunately he trusted traitorous Cromwell when he told him about her "alleged" affairs...in that age it was treasonous and warranted death. Loved them!
