Also, Janeway's death in itself was really illogical in my opinion. How does it make sense for her demise to be caused by a species that she defeated on multiple occasions? Also, she was previously assimilated in 'Unimatriz Zero' during the show, so why would the Borg not make her the Queen then if she was so important to them? Granted, in B4 Dishonor they needed a Queen, but I still see some gaps there.

I read Before Dishonor when it came out a few years ago, and as an avid Voyager fan I was not happy in the least bit when Janeway was killed. There were so many things wrong with not only her death, but the book in itself. There were too many sub-plots and the whole Dues-ex machine nature of this Borg ship was ridiculous. Like a Borg ship literally eating Pluto and surviving a trip into the Sun?! Come on!
It's tragic that they killed Janeway off in the books, but at least they are not canon. I tried to read B4 Dishonor but it was so disrespectful to Janeway that I gave up. Fanfiction is so much better because those stories are written with love. I hope they bring back Janeway and J/C. Janeway fans and J/Cers really have been treated badly by the franchise over the years. It's no wonder Trek has lost a lot of popularity. They are disrespectful to loyal fans and that costs them viewers and money.

I love J/C and this book is unbelievably heartbreaking for a series that was so uplifting. The future AJ died to change was better than this one! J/C deserve a lifetime of love, not one night. I loved the get-together scene, but the rest of the book is too devastating for me. It hurts to think of KJ dying young and to read of Chakotay's pain. I'll stick to fanfic!

After all making a vid should be fun or desire to do it. In my quantum reality, Simon & Schuster's Pocket books division doesn't exist, and therefore could never kill off one of the best danged characters ever to grace the bridge of a starship. Sweet vid, but I'd have preferred the VAMB never HAD to create the "challenge" to resurrect our hero.
