So many messages, blessings and healing come through hymnals. The results are in the pudding, so many of us are here today because someone cried out to God on your behalf, by humming, singing, and glorifying God for the Victory, in song. Just listen to the words not so much the beat nor the tune.
This is amazing! I was just saying God I would love a compilation of hymnals. There is something about the depth of the writing of the hymnals. I thought I would listen to "I Need Thee" by Marvin & to God's glory I saw this medley of hymnals. Hymnals are more about glorifying God and not about the flesh! For those who wants to hear more of the hymnals, I have found Rev. Paul Jones on youtube. OMG! Our God is Magnificent, Holy, Righteous, Just, The Great IAM, Comforter, Wonderful Counselor
Say the Truth!! Nothing like a hymnal! Another thing I see in the modern day churches is the complete change in the altar. There is not a place for you to come in to the sancturary and kneel down and pray "at the altar" to me it is what makes a reverental feeling that says this is HOLY GROUND! It is simply a stage for performance now!
I'm A 15 year old minister working to change the world and to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ at the same time; I'm on youtube 5days a week to hear me preaching you can go to the youtube home page and type in Keyerin Coleman Preaching
Anybody with half a brain knows Marvin Sapp was hoarse. At least he didn't cop out and say "I'm hoarse". So what he was all over the place with his notes. He still sang better than half the population. Well, maybe not half but you get what I'm saying.
I wonder how David looked when he danced out of his clothes? Despised by others, but was pleasing to God. When you get into true worship a slip here or there means nothing as it is all unto the LORD. I am so tried of people worry about who's this or that, but rather that their names are simply written in the book of Life. Christians c'mon.
@gazaking777 - was his outer garment a part of his "clothes"? Everything from an outer jacket to your innermost underwear is "clothes", LOL! I did not use a Particular explanation vs Indefinite. Obviously he wasnt fully naked. LOL!
Thanks for the unnecessary correction, but my point was obvious.
People, there are far too many factors, unknown factors, (monitors, church acoustics, speaker position, head cold, definite hoarseness, etc) for anyone of us to make any comments on whether or not he was sharp/flat or needs an instructor.
2. Obviously many of the commentators have never sang LIVE therefore do not know the endless possibilities of the BEST, never-going-flat-or sharp artist to do so.
3. Besides all of that, WORSHIP is not suppose to be pleasing to Man.
Man I love hymns too!! I get tears everytime I hear them!! I was raised up on the hymns and I will never forget them!!! YES SIR!! The hymns have power!!
@GRE1400 I play for him! what you dont know is HE HAD A COLD AND if you must know, we had been on the road all week! But! Thats why he is where he is and you are where you are!!! now watch what you say, cause he might just answer you!!!!
@terranceruffin Dude I am not a slave if that's the reason he sounded a mess so be it. It's in bad taste to sing with a cold. You should take care of your instrument but hey he's not singing for me. Are that desperate for gigs? And what if he does answer me back am I going to be afraid to tell the truth? My advice is learn all that you can from this guy and move on. And psss not more comments cause I really don't give a care.. Use your brain dude who cares if he answers me...
@terranceruffin everybody has an off day, the best vocalists have them sometimes. but that goes to show u that its the anointing that makes the difference. u aint gotta give no explanation to nobody. God bless! And I'm jealous u get to be around Marvin like that. LOL!
@terranceruffin Hey man i understand you defending Marvin Sapp that's cool and yes GRE1400 should not judge etc, but you didn't have to go at him like that, C'mon bro , just pray for him and move on, God Bless!
@GRE1400 People need not practice giving praise to God. When it comes to church we sing praises. not matter how good or bad its sounds to others. Church is not entertainment its is for praise
@phillip3567 You guys TOTALLY missed the point. All need to keep their voices in tune but I have been thinking about the comment I made 11 months ago. We love to excuse mediocrity. At the time of I had NO idea of what MArvin Sapp was going through. The thing I learned about him is he is a RADICAL praiser. He praised God right through his difficulty of losing his wife. Now that's Praise. After all he's been through. HE IS THE POSTER CHILD FOR PRAISER. I gleam from his confidence and tenacity.
@GRE1400 i'm saying it does not matter how people sound when they sing praises to God. I understand what u r saying i just want you to be mindful of the big picture
