If anything, its because he's not caught up in this bipartisan rhetoric and that he takes an electorally risky stance on economic solutions instead of promising voters the short-sided answers they're looking for (like raising minimum wage a dollar).
Um...our budget deficit has actually increased from $4 billion to $40 billion under Blagojevich...the worst of any state in the history of the United States. Blagojevich also continues to under-fund teacher pension funds. And his stupid healthcare programs don't do shit except steal taxpayer money.
