i think i know what the new storytelling device is going to be for season 6. when the character dogen says: "this is your chance to redeem yourself", I'm guessing that Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sawyer will be sent back in time in the vessel of their past selves (prior to crashing on island) where they get the chance to fix the wrongs of their life...so they'd be reliving past events except they'd be "reinventing themselves" e.g the upcoming episode titles:
