@americansoldier75 Strange... I thought I replied to this 2 years ago. More Than A Feeling was originally written in 1970 and called 90 Days. Tom has admitted this in interviews. It was not written in 1976. Also, he has admitted it took him 5 years to write it.

@purpelaar at the time brad did not want to tour and had other things going on. tom went to brad first!!! then he asked fran who brad highly respected. brad did come back to boston to do the walk on tour, just not the studio record. dont blame tom, the band must go on. to top it off, fran is a great singer. i saw them live on the walk on tour and fran hung with brad note for note as far as getting that high note... they were also great friends.....

Is it true that tom put down all the tracts on the album Third Stage? and took him 6 years to do so. for some reason thats what we heard, kinda hard to believe if true.

@MrSwampgas There was some problems with the record companies and they were involved in a lawsuit or something... after Tom got back to work on the album he discovered the tapes had stuck together... he had to unstick them.. The whole story is in the liner notes and you can probably find it online.

@beefsupreme420 I agree about the vocals (Brad Delp only), but I have to say, the guitars and keys are without doubt one of the most important elements to the success of Boston. Tom Scholz was the driving force behind the band. The classic Boston sound was consistent with or without Brad, thanks to Tom!

Incorrect. Tom has stated numerous times he started on a song called 90 Days in 1970, which later became More Than A Feeling. It was not written in 1976, it was RELEASED then. Also, in an interview, he said it took him 5 years to write it.

That's true. Tom mentioned in an interview he started playing at 21, which would have been 1968, and both him and Brad mentioned an early version of More Than A Feeling being written back in 1970. Pretty impressive work for only having a little guitar experience.
