  • Looks a lot like mine.

  • That was ........ violent.

  • ouch...seems like he hit the throttle and slid a bit too much :( glad this video isn't full of "rofl he crashed" comments, everyone goes down one day or another...

  • it's the result of closing throttle during slide, isn't it?

  • arrg that's nasty...did his bike crush onto him? hope he's ok

  • holy poop, that's a hell of a highslide. hope he's alright. pretty wicked lean angle almost scratched his elbow

  • everyone goes down one time or another. That highside was epic though!!

  • That was brutal!

  • Hope the rider was ok, that was brutal!

  • Ouch!! I hope the bike didnt hit you.

  • I know the anti highside. NOTE! its still a theory never tried. 88% chance to work

  • @Klikard i know one too, 100% chance to work...low side it instead

  • One of the most violent bike wrecks I've seen.

  • exceptional escape considering limbs could have easily snapped

  • His right leg(knee) is definitely in bad shape.

  • the way to save it -sometimes- is to stay on the throttle and pick it up with your knee. chopping the the throttle (like he did) usually puts you over the bars. And yes I've crashed this way and saved it a couple times.

  • @roceye Or roll off the throttle, to stop the wheelspin, without the sudden traction gain that makes you high side. Hard to do it though, the gut reaction is to chop the throttle.

  • Ouchhhhh!!! He'll need a new bike!

  • @kount78 probably just new fairings

  • almost saved it, yes, but sadly he was trying too hard at that little mistake made the bike fly even more :S

    I feel sorry for him..

  • that was a sweet roll he did at 0:04

  • That"ll leave a mark!!

  • i bet the first thing he did is lookin for his bike

  • massive highside!!!!!!!!!!

  • If I had to guess, it looks like hes getting on the gas too hard and spins out. Were you trying to drift out of the turn or just got on the gas too much? I doubt thats the rear tire locking up.

  • @IzzualYamakawa you must be one hell of a expert

  • @usert777 thanks bro

  • Jennings GP?

  • Winding that throttle back a little bit too much is f@ckin painful. Happened to me yesterday at Donington.

  • Damn. He nearly got it back!

  • There is no dip in that turn. He rolled the throttle and had tire spin. Kicks the backside out turns into a high side. Happens all the time. If you look at the vid again you can tell he had a good line and see the tire mark he left. Yep tire spin.

Oh and that turn has gotten a lot of big time racers in trouble.

    Shit happens!!!

  • ouch for bike and rider, proper high side :D

  • nice footage happens ta the best of us

  • Sorry for liking this video, I just want to say it's interesting to me, not that I like your crash. :)

  • the difference ebwteen mere motrals like me and the guy in this video and Moto GP riders is.......we would crash...a racer would have reacted in a mili second to the slide and stayed on the gas and powerslide out of it. this guy backed off, you can see that. buts that human nature i would have done that. it takes skill control and training to do otherwise and that a racer has in spades.

  • is good have a traction control .

  • he was pushing his limits . no different to a gp rider , its all relative . they just do it faster for longer ! . also they do it every day and they still crash . it doesnt make him a bad rider at all . shit , i might have crashed too and ive been riding for close to 30 years.

  • OMG Is the track ok!?

  • That was horrific and hardcore! Any big injuries?

  • O....M....G! It's been a long time I've seen a dude handling a critical situation that poorly. Any good rider could have saved that one.

  • @Ice2watcher So thats why moto gp riders fall off from time to time ? they are not good riders ? . You are a dick !.

  • @davemr1966

did you watch the vid? you cannot compare this situtation to the physical stress gp riders go through. he overvalued his skills and didn't react the right way when the situation got critical.

  • So the best thing about this? This is my cousin Joey, age 30, with a three year old daughter. This slide? not a scratch on him. His wreck at 30 mph...broke his shoulder...

  • This is what happens when a throttle junkie meets a dip in the track... not saying it hasn't happened to me. I've just learned to use more entrance and cornering speed then exit speed.

    hope no borken bones.

  • I'm a professional rider too, i can do this turn away without hands...

  • i think the mid corner correction is what got him...sucks though. It's like 1000 bucks a flip. Hope he was ok

  • Looks expensive! All the flying parts...

  • Oh this is bad, so much damage to the bike, if u let it go into low side it would be much cheaper repair.

  • 5secs and 10.000 € later ;-(

  • btw, what bike?

  • Gotta love youtube... people who have never been on a motorcycle giving you, the rider, tips and directions on what to do in a situation like this. Fucking tards.

Hope you're all healed up man.

  • he hit a small sealer patch and his wheel started spinning up....watch it.

  • Hope the guy was ok man. I don't why people on here are talking like they know it all. Anyone ever heard of Valetino Rossi, yes that's right the Greatest rider to ever grace the MotoGP. If he and other great riders/racers can fuck up i think we all can. Especially you less experienced riders who like to think you now it all. You don't get paid millions of £'s, $'s, euros etc in endorsements or for just being that good at racing. So no you are'nt that good at all.

  • Wow the sound of flying metal debris is so brutal, yet amazing.

  • i still want a motorcycle ;D

  • Is it actually ok to use some rear brake (if you can react that fast) when you start sliding ?

  • Or what happens if you manage to pull in the clutch as soon as you start sliding ?

  • Right, listen in, I'm an expert and I've read enough magazine articles about riding fast to know that the reason this happened is because the rider didn't hit the gas hard enough. I mean look at him, he's obviously an amateur he didn't even get his elbow down. I mean jesus, in Superbike last month it said anyone could learn that with an hours' practice. Right anyway I'm off out on my 'Busa now to large it up down the cafe and talk about how I'm gonna win the IOM TT next year.

    *Irony mode off*

  • Looked real good gong into the turn. Then, Ouch!! That had to hurt. High siding a bike just sucks. No nice slide into the grass, it's bounce and rag doll. Again Ouch!

  • dam he got low! maybe too low lol

  • His hip pointing out of the curve is one of the reasons.

  • @m3toz4 yup

  • Hey all you dumb motherfuckers with you're stupid ass analytical comments " should of stayed on the gas...blah blah blah..." Shut the FUCk UP!!!! The guy obviously races and is going race pace which none of you know anything about even if you ride track days. Unless you race and can produce a race license from WERA, AFM, WSMC, etc. don't comment on shit you don't know a fu`cking thing about. Racing is worlds apart from "trackdays" or streetriding. You dumb motherfuckers.

  • that will ruin your day right then and there.

  • Too soon!!! ha aperto il gas che era ancora sdraiato a terra. ti credo che parte...

  • Man that hurt just watching it, I hope the bike is ok :)

  • @MrAssholebynature1

the bike? :D the bike is garbage ^^

  • MAIM RULE OF CROTCH ROCKETS: The lighter they are, the more parts fly off of them upon crashing

  • gutted for you mate

  • OH fuck im glad my bike didn't flip when i did this.

  • wikid vid mate

  • This started happening to me a few times when taking a turn from a traffic light in cold weather. The back can easily slide if you accelerate it too quickly while turning. Never dropped it, though.

Not an expert, and not trying to give advice, but his bottom was sticking out way more than his head, which is quite the opposite of what racers do. Trying to get the body back on the bike from there might have added to the realigning time. My opinion.

  • This was my first year riding, I have had my ass end spin out numerous times, mostly because oil or dirt on tires when first taking off, either way I let off the throttle and it pops back quick. Other than being in really good shape, play football, I have no idea how I didn't high side like this. Looks like it hurts like hell.

  • Nice! You almost saved it!

  • all that happened was he got it wrong,we all done it,easy work out why with hindsight and a video of the event but it all goes wrong so quick and nobody is perfect(got the pins and plates to prove it in my leg)how about you,you ever got it wrong?

  • Okay....I'm a novice at best and it looked like he was abrupt on the gas. I'm still learning track, so to help me out Armind123 or jppeart.....How do you go about saving that slide?

  • First would be throttle control. Then let the bike pick up when driving out, if you force the bike to stay lean when accelerating hard the result is in the video.

  • makes me laugh, all the expert comments, i wonder how many of you could keep up with him on the track (when he stays on).

  • @exup1k seeing as he's a yellow plated amateur, I know I can... been racing since `92.

  • @ProfessorIgor since 92... your past your best now then - hehe, this lad is learning and will only get better :P

  • He just started driving out while correcting his line. Maybe his tire were old. Maybe And I agree that this slide was saveable(can we say that?) the slide was really slow, he just didn't reacted correctly. I've been through that.

  • I am a novice.....can you tell me how you would go about saving that slide? I saw that he was hard on the gas in the curb.

  • Comment removed

  • After he started sliding he dropped the throttle. In this situation you maintain your current throttle as your sliding. Your rear wheel continues to slide but gradually realigns itself. When you drop the throttle it violently re grips and causes this.

  • @JacktheSmack but wouldn't u then lowside?

  • Spot on EmoSurfer. He picks it up slightly because he realises he's coming in too sharp. After he corrects his line, he gets on the throttle, loads up the rear and....well, you can see the result. That's why pros always harp on about being smooth.....

  • Umm, I really think all the "experts" commenting here are overlooking the obvious... The guys ass end started to drift, and through either (the most likely answer) lack of experience or lack of trust in his tires he let off the throttle, bike automatically stands up, and the rest is history... Not too many people can slide without knowing exactly what the fuck they are doing...

  • Dolore cazzo!!!!

  • aia

  • no its called I know how to control my right wrist and not get throttle happy all the damn time and hold my line...people like him is why people get killed on the track for simple mistakes

  • I totally agree - racing is all about pushing the limits so you WILL make mistakes.

But if you're on the brakes where you should be accelerating that's not just a mistake, stupid or otherwise. That's more likely to be down to having a stroke or something.

The rider in this vid is fast and pushing the limits and fair play to him for that - but I'm 100% sure they were not on the brakes after the apex of the corner to cause this crash!

  • My comment was in reply to someone saying he was 'trail braking' when he lost it - which was well after the apex of the turn. If you're trail braking at the point anyone else would be hard on the power then there's something verrrrrrrry wrong with you. I don't need to be a motogp rider to know THAT.

Or to put it another way: it's pretty fucking obvious the crash was nothing at all to do with trail braking.

    HTH. ;)

  • did the bike land on him at the end

  • terrible feeling!! happen to me on sunday =(

  • this guy high sided because he freaking didn't hold his line - if u see in the start he decides to lean and then comes back up ...and then leans and doing that right at the Apex is really not that smart - thus causing to upset the bike and in return high side

  • i did that at pembury race circuit in wales yesterday. my shoulder is battered. i feel your pain!!!!

  • Ouch!

  • that hurts

  • Turn 11 at jennings, wow just high sided there yesterday (Sunday July 19th), wrist is sore, i flew up higher then him and had a harder impact but didn't tumble like him. Better luck next time!

  • Comment removed

  • Eh???

That was after the apex, so if he was still trail braking there he deserved to crash because he shouldn't be out there lol!

  • watch the start over again u will see he touches his knee and then brings it back up...which causes him to upset the bike and high side

  • and lets not for get his BP is shitty...his upper body is all crossed up

  • That was violent!. Any broken bones?.

  • Comment removed

  • Ohh... youre a professional rider huuu? How is that?

  • You should keep the power on and even accelerate slightly, keith code brah <3

  • @kingnothing3rd

    He,s right

    keep the gas on

  • @kingnothing3rd he's complimenting you and giving you advice...

  • @kingnothing3rd theres always one chimp who knows best

  • @kingnothing3rd ive high sided before and my god it hurts.... cracked a rib

  • its funny all this advice what to do in that situation forgetting that its all over in a split second

  • @kingnothing3rd by professional he means he watches the gp on tele haha

  • @julionica professional? who do you ride for? what bike? where at? international?

  • @julionica shouldn't you also keep the rear brake on let go only after you've straightened out?

  • @julionica give it a rest. i dont see you in moto gp? however i have seen you on twat tv. if you ride a bike on a track it happens., even to the pros. i bet you dont even ride and if you do its a honda cub c90 and never even been near a track. fucking nerd

  • @julionica

    Professional rider huh!

Like you ride big fat cocks

    in you rear end?

    Is that right?

  • @julionica ,,,When I got chucked I reached the point of no return before I even had time to react in any way at all. I agree though,,, if you had time to react,, keeping the power on will either keep you going sideways or normaly end up dumping you on the low side, which is usually a lot less savage. The worlds best motorcycle racers sometimes go high side so they obviously don't know how vital it is to not let go of the gas,, or maybe they just need a few riding lessons off us youtube experts.

  • @julionica Thank's for the info i just got an 04 gixxer 600 and allways looking for tips to keep the rubber side down... I rode all my life butt the gixxer is my first street bike....

  • @julionica PROFESSINAL RIDER!! OOOOOK!

  • Oh mate, I feel for who that is, EXACTLY what I did on my 07 ZX6R, just not anywhere near as fast....I had no major injuries, just a sprained ankle. Anyone who thinks you can save a highside, obviously has not been in many. It is renowned for being extremely hard to save.

  • it is clearly quite impossible to save! Only if your front stays on the gorund and you remain on the bike 100% straight and the back lifts up completely after the highside you have a chance in saving it....but that chance is low! Thats what happened to me...saved it but someone crashed into me later that day XD :'(

  • so how would he correct that? adjusting his body and keeping the same throttle or rear brake pressure? cuz man that shit looks like it'd suck, i've lowsided @ speed but damn man that's a whole diff story

  • stay on the gas. once the rear regains traction in the turn you highside. if you can keep the wheel spinning through the turn you'll be okay. not a pro rider, I just like to drift.

  • hope you're ok and hope you have your bike back in working order....

  • Shit that sucks... it's kinda weird to hear the peices of his bike hitting the pavement as the camera passes.

  • You know that's Alex's video right bro? Down in Jennings GP last year.

  • When I high side of the motorcycle, so I broke the left foot of the left femur. then so did u axis point. and key leg to move .. it hurts to high side

  • that was a biggie

  • ............................coooooooooool

  • thats not cool

thats that guys pride and joy

  • howd this guy go for injuriers his shoulder hit pretty hard, i highsided last week end like this where the bike kicked twice, got some big air time so sudden, not much you can do.

  • yer right, not much u can do as i found out when i h sided a zx 10,knocked myself out and now need a big op on my shoulder on an ac seperation, ive saved a few,but this 1 got me

  • uf. . .

  • unsettled the suspension when he adjusted for turning in too early.

  • Ohhh, thats got hurt, lucky allthroug that the bike did not hit him.

For my experience in the race track, it was not caused for using the rear break, we lost grip on the sidewall of the rear tire, is like making a powerslide at extreme lean angles.

If you see Enduro, Supermotard, Motocross riders use this to ride fast, and some GP riders like Gary Mccoy, you need to have a lot of skills to slide it that way and keep it in control.

    Regards "V"

  • The black mark is rear tire spinning loose, hence the highside.

  • He kept adjusting his line mid turn - layed it back down while on the gas = OUCHIES. Hope he was ok, awesome stack to catch on cam.

  • Youre an idiot, go home! Play some video games and stop pretending you know anything about how to ride a motorcycle let alone how to race one. Just shut up, and move along squid.

  • lol, yup, youre a fucking retard... skid mark on the race track while accelerating must equal rear brake. Dude, slow your e-gangsta roll and just stfu and move onto your uber baller high speed highway runs. just STFU idiot. 99.9% of the people in the motorcycle community will tell you the same fucking thing.

  • lol.... ok there tommy tough nuts. Just slow your roll and move on and stop being e-gangsta tough.

  • actually, ruel not only were you wrong in the first place but for some reason you still talk shit after you've already been proven to be the dumbass here... and im sure everyone is very impressed with your awesome highway skillz, if you're not even skilled enough to take it to the track then stfu

  • wow...you're an idiot. How long you been riding...6 months? ROFL you probably only ride if it's perfectly blue skies too

  • riding for 2 years, homie. ya i try to ride if there's no rain. what? do u ride when it rains? you fucking moron.......... dude you're fucking stupid. go crawl back into your little room and post more BS on your computer, you faggoty ass pussy.

  • i not only ride in the rain but i race in it...you're right us WMRRA racers who race in the rain we sure are pussies. Go carbon fiber your gas cap you fucking homo, maybe buy some shitty lockhart fake carbon levers too....idiot. You probably have a chromed out extended swingarm on a 600 too

  • ROFL! can you hear yourself...i'm sure you'd school rossi in your canyons...ahaha this stuff cracks me up

  • haha....... what a fuckin TOOL

  • Not fuckin funny u prick.

  • not laughing at the rider dude, laughing at the arguement happening above me :)

  • So....what's wrong with being white? O.o

  • nothing except for things like lack of family values.

  • Do you declare this as a fact about all white people? O.o

Whouldn't the same statement apply to people who steal little kids and force them into the military? (africa) or women and children working in crowded mills? (Asia) ? O.o

  • LOL

    true man

    that is totally true

  • done for.

  • that one hurt.

  • Jennings Florida Race Track Turn 11

  • Looks Like Jennings in Fl.

  • Ouch....

  • Are you riding behind the guy who fell? What track is this?
