I just started playing! URS LOOKS JUST LIKE MINE! You're really good to jut be starting out! lol, I've had mine for about 2 weeks now, And i always get stuck on the last note. :/ Ur good!
this girl is pretty good for a 9 year old i am in the 6th grade and i am a band student at whittorne middle school and i have just got my part as a clarinet person i am really excited and i hope tht i will be really good and maybe i will post a video on here when i learn how to play lmao :)
hey! that was pretty good for a starter(: ive been playing clarinet for 5 years now, prob a little more. but when you play, keep your mouth tighter, and make sure you sit up straight with good posture.(:
Hey i think your pretty good im 12 and i have been playing the clarinet for 2 years i started the instrument in the 6th grade and i played from the exact same book is it the essential elements 2000 book? Because thats the book i played from and i played mary had a little lamb too!! That's when i first learned the notes but shes good for a 9 year old. Does she play in her school band???
@xXsarahXx1011 Yes, she did learn from Essential Elements 2000, and she does play in the school band, although now she has now added saxophone and drums to the instruments hse plays. She's 12 now, too! Good luck to you with the clarinet!
@xXsarahXx1011 Hey, I'm 12 years old now and i played the clarinet for 2 years also. I did play from the essential elements 2000 book too. I also played when i went to the 6th grade. And I'm in a band. I'm sorry but I'm on my brothers page. But that is so cool.
Thanks to everyone who posted comments on this video, especially to those who gave encouraging words or helpful tips. My daughter is now 11 and has continued with music, but she switched to alto sax. She now has a very cool female saxophone-major college student as a teacher who has been a great role model for her. However, she still picks up her grandfathers clarinet and plays it occasionally. To have the skill to make music is a wonderful thing--good luck to all beginning players!
Ive Been Playing For About 6.. Months Maybe. I Still Squeak. So Dont Get All Fussy With Her About It. Very Good For Such Littl eTime To Play :) And Also (On Your Hot Cross Buns) You SLered your NOtes When Your Suppose To Tounge...
I started clarinet at your age, you're doing great, for only one month in... Also consider clapping the rhythm before you play, to help you know what that rhythm pattern is without having to worry about are you playing the correct notes... Good job, now practice your rhythms; and your notes/tones. GREAT JOB!
Don't listen to the people saying you're not good, you remind me of when I first started! Except, I was wayyyy worse! lol. But just practice, practice makes perfect sweetie! You'll be a pro at clarinet in no time!
lol. take private lessons its better then school lessons but expensive(thats y i dont take em any more) i ended up 1st chair in the fith grade band while in 4th grade and also always first chair. i think u might need to tighten your musscles around the mouth ;)
you were prety good. just practice more and toungue more of your notes. i am a clarinet player also and it takes some time to get used to it. so remember, practice!!
LOL, you remind me of me when I first started playing the clarinet.
Nice, you do squeak a little, but it's natural for beginners, keep up the good effort, and before you know it, you'll be playing extremely long songs ((which is what I'm doing at the moment...yay?)_
ahhh. I remember when I just started playing. it seemed like 4 years ago... because it was. you'll get the hang of it. GOOD LUCK!

you might want to not let the clarinet come out so much.. it loosens the embouchure, causing squeaks =)
Musician093 4 years ago 5
Ok stop singing us the notes, and play. Wow,over blowing and some squeaks...but you just started...so GL later on.
