Do you know I'd forgotten just what a great album this was and at the time I thought it was OK but maybe not her best - just shows how time gives you another perspective on it, when you compare it to the disposable trash which constitutes most of today's music. I'm digging out my old vinyl copy which I bought when I lived in Kent at the end of the 80s! Sang it, Anita and Perri!

I've been a voice major for the last 20 years and I'm still having a hard time believing Anita is just a contralto. Not since the late opera singer, Marion Anderson, has any contralto has that much control, range, style, clarity and grace as any soprano of any register have in the music industry. I still believe she has mezzo tendencies and/or register with a contralto base. This is R & B at its best and a beautiful song sung by a beautiful women and voice.

I miss songs like this. Anita Baker is timeless and I loved all her classic songs. She is an incredible artist there is no one like her she's simply the best! What has happened to the music now there is no heart and soul anymore!

It is incumbent upon us to support these artists who don't get the full backing of their respective labels, those artists we know can sing up a song from the dead and then lay it back to rest. We need to check out their live performance/concerts, and buy/download their music. THIS TYPE OF MUSIC grew my soul and for that, I will forever be indebited
