im working on a 57cc gas skateboard... the motor is from a pocket-rocket, it has a transmission on it that has no top end basicly, just put different gears on it and you can either take off really fast and do burnouts or go up a big ass hill at 40 mph. ill post a vid when im done. i think if i use this motor and maybe run nitro methane fuel and maybe put a shot of nitrous in there and you may have some competition for the fastest motorized skateboard... maybe its still in the works

The production model cost me my last 15,000 to make and was sweet as hell...all white powdercoating, bigger 10' tires and blue anodized header, filter, and control lever. It got stolen and I go to court tomorrow to testify against the person...Hopefully I can get the money to build the first ten...they should sell for just about $999.99...

That would be a gas powered mountainboard by the way...you wouldn't make it electric because if it gets wet at all it would most likely be ruined and lots less power and torque.

been looking to build a motor board, to toy around on, and my idea was pretty much like yours, make it from scratch.. i prolly wont even use an actual board, likely something more like the one with the 2 metal plates, but more like snowboard bindings.. and possibly the engine in the center as well..

Umm...no....It is basically a specially modified giant scale rc aircraft engine with a Jr. Dragster CVT all alum with modded springs and weights to handle the lower torque/higher reving engine. The board has tons of design features to handle incredible speeds more safely. They are secret untill my next patent clears though.

At the end of testing each prototype, the board is disassembled, the parts are labeled complete, or the ones that need changes are sent back to my shop with instructions for changes...I am currently in that phase of building a new and improved board for market...the boards in this vid do not even exist anymore....and yes it is a bit dangerous, oh and it is the most fun I have ever had standing up. So fun? Yes!

So how fast? Sounds like too much hp and/or loads of BS to me. Lets see it. The trick is building an ultra stable platform to ride on, not just gettin loads of hp. 10 hp is enough to carry me faster than anyone has ever skated before (90.5mph is the record I plan to break)

That's a tricky question to answer at the moment, as not all the parts are in mass production yet.I won't know exact prices until I am ready to sell them....I am aiming at $999.99 for the base model with no frills, but a few hundred dollars spent on options would be well spent...options like engine porting, speedometer, lights/signals, NO2, tuned exhaust, custom plating, exotic metals, ultra light weight drilled components, chrome rims, and more.

If i gear it low, it accelerates too quickly...way too quick for some..0-35mph in 3 sec...gear it too high and it goes 50mph, but really lacks in low end power...thats with a 3.5hp engine...They can be fitted with up to 6hp if you can afford it/ride it.

IN OTHER WORDS...AS FAST AS YOU WANT! I plan to break the land speed record (90.5mph) with 125cc 10+hp version later this year.
