even in HP 2010 the cars handle like shit, but in SHIFT the handle AND sound like shit, like a radio with no single. The M3 for example in this clip sounds like a 4cyl civic AND in game like a screaming PIG where;s the high-reving V8?-.-

I miss old nfs and old game engine (arcade style).

At least in nfsu2 they had common cars that teenagers could afford but now ... you start "ingame" you remain "ingame".

Miss nfs most wanted and underground 2 .. from then the graphic goes down for me!

I remember the good old days with NFS I and NFS II. simple tracks, where you just do x number of laps against x number of opponents. This game is what ive been waiting for from need for speed. this is a good game, but the lack of customization keep getting weaker and weaker every year, Pro Street is probably one of the best customization in the graphics department, it kinda follow in undercover but when down and shift..........I cant make shit anymore.

They were thinking the simulation market needed one more runner in the lineup, and they capitalized on the opportunity. From what I've seen and played, Shift is absolutely phenomenal. Some of the best physics and graphics I've seen in a racing game to date.

Great arcade Need For Speed ended with Most Wanted, yes. But great simulation Need For Speed started with Shift.

To me, Shift is top, mainly because I've become more into simulators than arcade racers (although, Split/Second looks amazing) in recent years.

I too, however, love Most Wanted, along with a couple of the older titles like Hot Pursuit 2 and the first Underground. I just think, since sims are my thing now, that Shift is a nice change from all that for people like me.
