  • I live in Independence, I don't remember this!!!

  • I remember this day very well. An F3 passed close enough to our house to dump a ton of debris from houses in our yard, and close enough to my grandmother' retirement home that it tore a tree up by its roots and flung it across the parking lot. Trees and buildings that were damaged over by Carriage Hill Estates still showed the scars as of January 2011.

Irony: One if the buildings destroyed was my insurance agent's office

  • Awesome shots of this huge tornado from exactly 7 years ago today, 5/4/03... BTW..BTW..you might find this interesting...exactly 25 years earlier to the day of your tornado videoings here, 5/4/78..there were killer tornadoes in Clearwater FLA... and I was only 200 miles to the ENE..I did audiotape the loud thunder((severe Tstorms)) from inside the car while on I-95...still have the tape today!

  • Well, half of it anyways..but this is in Mizzou..

  • @LuigiLaker

Wyandotte county is on the Kansas side. It is Kansas City, KS. There are two KC's one on each side of the state line, they each have their own city limits. When the twister crossed the river into Missouri it hit up by Parkville.

  • We chased this day as well. Saw the killer F3 tornado near Crestline in Cherokee County, that later tracked into SW MO

  • I was 20 when this happened. I had just moved from Oklahoma and was just about to start painting my living room (literally just got paint on the roller and held it against the wall!) when the sirens went off in Richmond MO!
