  • There seem to be multiple versions of this piece. I'm absolutely dying to find this version. Please help!. Very beautiful by the way

  • beautiful music!

  • what do you think about this piano? It is a good kind?A piano store owner told me that this kind was the best piano of Kawai.I think its sound is very good.Especially this kind pretty much looks like Steiways's upright pianos.

    Beautiful playing,wonderful piece!

  • @linhpiano

I think it's a good and well-built piano. However it's very sensitive to changes in humidity (at least mine is). During seasonal weather changes, it goes out of tune really badly. Otherwise I like it. The action is very nice (fast) and tone is even. I recommend it.

  • @Elena0210 I have to check more carefully about its sensibility with humidity.I'm from Vietnam, and the humidity in the air is always high.It rains with a big quantity a year. Some people say that yamaha piano is better when the weather is wet, isn't it?

I looked up on internet and found this kind is very expensive(about 7000usd)but the piano store owner suggested me to buy his old one at 3000usd.I really like it sound.

Are you a pianist? You played this piece very well

  • Simply- beautiful...

  • Beautiful piece and lovely performance.

  • oooo i dont like the sound of that piano, its very mellow; sounds like im listening to it with my ears blocked.. just my opinion on the piano.

    u played very well though.

  • Gentle life performing.

    Thank you

  • Very lyrical playing!

  • As I was saying, I had a few problems. One of the features of Kawai is that you don't need to press a key all the way to the bottom in order to get a sound (good for repeated notes). Yet QuietTime detects a key press when it reaches the key bottom which doesn't really happen on repeated notes!!! The sensors don't pick it up unless you press the keys all the way down. I also have to tune my piano often (4 times a year). My advice - purchase K8 and don't get any electronics.

  • Thank you for your replies! I really appreciate your time. I've been in contact with Kawai central in Japan and am almost completely decided on K5 with their newest AT-X. It senses the hammer movement, and not key movement, thus the problems you mention are not present (Yamaha Silent SG system doesn't have this problem either). I can't dump electronics, as I live in apartment and play often at night - I really wish I could, then I could go higher than K-5, but I can't. Thanks again, Elena!

  • Beautiful piece and gorgeous playing! I love the sound of this piano. I'm planning to buy K5, which is the highest model offered by Kawai with Anytime-X silencing system. Having said that, have you retrofitted your piano with another brand's silent system? I can see some kind of device below the keyboard to the right of the piano that looks just like some quiet piano system - but Kawai doesn't offer K8 with their Anytime. If so, what kind of system is that and are you happy with it? Thanks!

  • My piano is K8 and I have QuietTime MagicStar V4.0 from PianoDisc. Unlike the full featured PianoDisc QuietTime doesn't have playback. But I can play with headphones and it was only $1,000. I like K8 - sostenuto pedal, practice switch (like practice pedal - lowers a piece of felt fabric between hammers and strings). You can voice Kawai any which way you like - bright like Yamaha or darker/subdued (like mine). Kawai is a bit of a chameleon that way. However I had some installation problems.

  • It ´s first time I hear this great piece ...

It´s soo beautiful !!! Especially the way you play it,

    very professional !!! Bravo :-)

  • Excellent!!! Thanks so much :-)
