  • Excellent little snowthrower. I collect them and have about eight so far.

The reason that they were discontinued was the lawsuits from morons taking these things up on the roofs of their houses to clear snow, and also, safety issues such as no clutch, safety stop handle or brake on the revolving rotor.

The electric versions can be sold because as soon as you release the handle, it stops.

  • Holy cow--too cool! Where did you get that? I've been debating about getting the Toro electric power shovel, but would rather have a little 2 cycle like that, but don't see them...must have been from days gone by?..oops, since I wrote this, I found something that said that these were made in the earlier 1980's. Wonder why they stopped making them?

  • @jcjewell Probably some losers complaining about noise and emissions. That is my only guess since these things are really a great little machine. they were made in 83,84, and 85 so most of them are probably in the landfills somewhere. I have other videos of them working as well. feel free to subscribe and thanks for commenting.

  • @respondtomehere You'd think that they could keep improving on controlling emissions and noise, since there are plenty of other gas tools, like weedeaters that aren't near as noisy as they used to be. In the meantime, I'll probably just settle for an electric :-/
