The mistake that Piers makes is that he buzzes acts that he doesn't like rather than acts that require no talent. Correct me if i'm wrong but as a judge he's meant to vote regarding talent and the public is meant to vote regarding likes and dislikes.
@DroOoBusu I absolutely agree the judges should be responsible for weeding out the talentless since three people can't really speak for what the masses would like. When the vote goes to America they will speak by majority vote which ones they like or don't like. The judges (All of them) need to stick to picking out the best talents to present to America for their choice.

This is truly amazing. Steven is amazing. I really think it is time to find at least one new member of the judges, I appreciate what they do, but Peirs only thinks about what he himself wants and doesn't want. With this in mind he forgets about what the rest of the world would like to see. The amount of strength and coordination it takes to do what he does is just amazing.!

Sure there are exciting shows if that's your thing I personally don't find zuma zuma all that entertaining but thats my opinion I'm sure others disagree
@featheredtiger I agree that he has moves and skills but all Las Vegas shows have excitement ep. Blue Man Group, Lance Burton (other magicians), Phantom of the Opera and Terry Fator is exciting. I just thought this one was a bit boring.

I love the artistry of this performance it reminding me of something elegant with it element of ballet and performance. So while you may not be able to appreciate it all the positive remarks here are proof that others do. Might I suggest if you find it so boring then perhaps you should stop hanging out on his videos just to making negative remarks.
@featheredtiger I don't think it is a negative mark at all. I would say a negative mark would be 'This guy sucks!' or 'He is not good at all'. I'm just saying that he is not as good as the other performances and Piers Morgan likes those kinds of acts that blow him away which I can relate to! I love the youtube performance of Beth Ann and she is one of the people I can see in a Las Vegas performance. She does ballet and she is not as boring as Steven.... I have more to say but it doesn't fit lol.
@yonschnee16 What it come down to is personal opinion like Beth Ann was quite good (from what I did see) but I found myself easily distracted during her performance it simply didn't hold my attention. I personally find child acts an annoyance where others are fascinated by them. It all comes down to what an individual likes & not everyone is going to like the same things. What makes no sense to me is someone commenting on a video they find boring on its just rude to the performer & the fans

@featheredtiger But Las Vegas is more about excitement. I live in Las Vegas so I definitely know all the things and shows that happen there. I do not see any show in Vegas that does not have any excitement towards it. This performance just didnt blow me away as much as Zuma Zuma did.
@yonschnee16 With Zuma Zuma its not an act that particularly blew my mind. I found their first act better their most recent seeming to of lost something somehow. Yes Vegas is a flashy city all the more reason I think Steven would fit in. He marries beauty, strength agility, endurance and with a kind of heat that is perfect for Vegas and does so in classy & elegant way. Also his knowledge and training in the musical arts allows him to dance with the with music instead of just dancing to it

If Steven wins AGT I actually will be happy only because it will finally be someone else instead of a singer. @featheredtiger You really want this guy to win? What about the Silhouettes, they show so much art and beauty into there performance it is outstanding! Pole dancing is normal but these people bring something unique that no one has ever seen before. Both the audition and quarter finals the Silhouettes done superb and they still have more up their sleeves. I don't think people will appreciate Steven Retchless as much as they appreciate new things people bring to the table like the Silhouettes do.

The Silhouettes first act was amazing but as for their second. 1)They are being praised for originality but rather shadow art is the oldest form of entertainment. 2)Their second act was far less impressive the lines weren't as clean and the color images ruined the effect 3)While patriotism is great but using it to win a competition comes off as manipulative instead of simply patriotic.
@featheredtiger The Silhouettes didn't do it for the patriotism, they did it for the soldiers who they know very well and has been fighting for there lives to protect the country. I don't remember any of the color images ruining anything. I thought it was spot on perfect. Also there aren't as much shadow art at all and it is hard for people to recognize these types of performances who do this. Lastly I think this is VERY original, no one has ever done something like what they did before.

I watched Pilobolus & Le Ombré and they were actually really good, so I guess you were right on that one, but i still don't see any reason why a pole dancer is better than 5 pole dancers. Steven even got hurt from the performance and Zuma Zuma did it perfectly without even a scratch, that shows strength and even though Steven showed a lot of strength as well, Zuma Zuma made it way better. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

If you took time to read his blog you would know he was practicing nonstop. You would also recognize that bare skin, while necessary for this act, gets pulled at by the resistance of the metal pole so its no big surprise that skin had already taken quite a bit of abuse had torn & was bleeding. @featheredtiger I completely agree with you. Steven and Iluminate are my 2 favourite non-singing acts - I found the Silhouettes less impressive in Hollywood as opposed to their audition. Landau and Lys Agnes are my favourite singers. If any of them win or get close, I will go to sleep happy on finale night.

And where the Silhouettes are concerned I agree absolutely. But yeah, I hope this helps Stephen go far. The news station in my city recently did a story on how male pole dancing is getting popular in parts of Asia, so the concept has support in some places.
@1981Galadriel Absolutely the very concept originated as form of training for men in sports so it amazes me that people now a days people make such a fuss over a man on a pole. Steven was even interviewed for a story about pole fitness where they spoke of just that. And the Silhouettes as good as they are their last performance was flawed. And patriotism is a great ideal and I know they say it was a tribute but I feel it was the concept and not their skill that got them votes last time.

When watching Steven perform you are watching many talents coming together..years of dance, years of pole fitness, he designs his own costumes, set designs and choreographs ALL the dancing for himself and his dancers, he also creates his own make-up!!!! If all the acts on AGT did that you would not have a very good show. I think this is a WORLD CLASS act and is the only act worthy of going to Vegas!!!!
although this guy may be entertaining, his talent is minimal--and for a show like america's got TALENT, he won't be sticking around for the finals. Piers is absolutely right and the producers keep him on the show because he tells it like it is--howie and sharon are wishy-washy with their responses.
What he does is great and expressive and I have respect for him for being able to perform on this national stage... but this is not a million dollar Vegas act.

This is truly amazing. Steven is amazing. I really think it is time to find at least one new member of the judges, I appreciate what they do, but Peirs only thinks about what he himself wants and doesn't want. With this in mind he forgets about what the rest of the world would like to see. The amount of strength and coordination it takes to do what he does is just amazing.!

Piers is right on this one. There are better acts that can perform in las vegas instead of a male pole dancer. Admit it, no guy would pay to see this person dancing around a pole on a big show in Nevada.

Ive seen posts from straight men and from gay men that say they like him or want to see him because of his strength, flexibility, endurance, dedication and even artistry and many thing in between. As a note its never wise to speak for a whole section of society because you'll undoubtedly be proven wrong. Besides if no man ever saw him he still has plenty of female fans.

@featheredtiger I am not a homophobic but I still have to agree with Piers, now, I would love to see Zuma Zuma in a show because they also have strength, flexibility, endurance, dedication and also artistry as well! Steven just doesn't seem like one of those shows that people would see because he isn't as exciting as Zuma Zuma.

@yonschnee16 "Excitement" doesn't a show make purely as an example the ballet isn't typically described as exciting but that doesn't mean it has any less of a draw for those that like it.The reality is that there is a fan base for this that much is clear or else he wouldn't still b n the competition w/ so many cheering him on, on a daily basis. Sure there are exciting shows if that's your thing I personally don't find zuma zuma all that entertaining but thats my opinion I'm sure others disagree

@featheredtiger I agree that he has moves and skills but all Las Vegas shows have excitement ep. Blue Man Group, Lance Burton (other magicians), Phantom of the Opera and Terry Fator is exciting. I just thought this one was a bit boring.

I love the artistry of this performance it reminding me of something elegant with it element of ballet and performance. So while you may not be able to appreciate it all the positive remarks here are proof that others do. Might I suggest if you find it so boring then perhaps you should stop hanging out on his videos just to making negative remarks.

@featheredtiger I don't think it is a negative mark at all. I would say a negative mark would be 'This guy sucks!' or 'He is not good at all'. I'm just saying that he is not as good as the other performances and Piers Morgan likes those kinds of acts that blow him away which I can relate to! I love the youtube performance of Beth Ann and she is one of the people I can see in a Las Vegas performance. She does ballet and she is not as boring as Steven.... I have more to say but it doesn't fit lol.

@yonschnee16 What it come down to is personal opinion like Beth Ann was quite good (from what I did see) but I found myself easily distracted during her performance it simply didn't hold my attention. I personally find child acts an annoyance where others are fascinated by them. It all comes down to what an individual likes & not everyone is going to like the same things. What makes no sense to me is someone commenting on a video they find boring on its just rude to the performer & the fans

@featheredtiger But Las Vegas is more about excitement. I live in Las Vegas so I definitely know all the things and shows that happen there. I do not see any show in Vegas that does not have any excitement towards it. This performance just didnt blow me away as much as Zuma Zuma did.

@yonschnee16 With Zuma Zuma its not an act that particularly blew my mind. I found their first act better their most recent seeming to of lost something somehow. Yes Vegas is a flashy city all the more reason I think Steven would fit in. He marries beauty, strength agility, endurance and with a kind of heat that is perfect for Vegas and does so in classy & elegant way. Also his knowledge and training in the musical arts allows him to dance with the with music instead of just dancing to it

If Steven wins AGT I actually will be happy only because it will finally be someone else instead of a singer. From the past 5 seasons, the only people who won were singers which I got really annoyed with because there were other acts that looked way better than the singers who've won, but I digress.

@featheredtiger You really want this guy to win? What about the Silhouettes, they show so much art and beauty into there performance it is outstanding! Pole dancing is normal but these people bring something unique that no one has ever seen before. Both the audition and quarter finals the Silhouettes done superb and they still have more up their sleeves. I don't think people will appreciate Steven Retchless as much as they appreciate new things people bring to the table like the Silhouettes do.

The Silhouettes first act was amazing but as for their second. 1)They are being praised for originality but rather shadow art is the oldest form of entertainment. 2)Their second act was far less impressive the lines weren't as clean and the color images ruined the effect 3)While patriotism is great but using it to win a competition comes off as manipulative instead of simply patriotic.

@featheredtiger The Silhouettes didn't do it for the patriotism, they did it for the soldiers who they know very well and has been fighting for there lives to protect the country. I don't remember any of the color images ruining anything. I thought it was spot on perfect. Also there aren't as much shadow art at all and it is hard for people to recognize these types of performances who do this. Lastly I think this is VERY original, no one has ever done something like what they did before.

I watched Pilobolus & Le Ombré and they were actually really good, so I guess you were right on that one, but i still don't see any reason why a pole dancer is better than 5 pole dancers. Steven even got hurt from the performance and Zuma Zuma did it perfectly without even a scratch, that shows strength and even though Steven showed a lot of strength as well, Zuma Zuma made it way better. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

If you took time to read his blog you would know he was practicing nonstop. You would also recognize that bare skin, while necessary for this act, gets pulled at by the resistance of the metal pole so its no big surprise that skin had already taken quite a bit of abuse had torn & was bleeding. Also just because there are more dancers again doesn't make them bettr

@featheredtiger I would say both have the exact same specific talent but Zuma Zuma can do the same. I bet Zuma Zuma can do exactly what Steven does but waaaaaay better x5. I believe they will do way better than Steven. You can say what you want, I can say what I want. My beliefs are going toward to Zuma Zuma or any other contestant that can actually blow people away with their skills. I don't see Steven with any skills, he is like any other pole dancer with strength and art.

@featheredtiger I completely agree with you. Steven and Iluminate are my 2 favourite non-singing acts - I found the Silhouettes less impressive in Hollywood as opposed to their audition. Landau and Lys Agnes are my favourite singers. If any of them win or get close, I will go to sleep happy on finale night.

And where the Silhouettes are concerned I agree absolutely. Their Hollywood performance was far less impressive while I still think they are talented in their own right I have certain issues with that second performance.

I think the two things that they had going for them were playing the patriotism card and the weakness of the 8 acts that did not make it that night. I hate how they used real pictures. But yeah, I hope this helps Stephen go far. The news station in my city recently did a story on how male pole dancing is getting popular in parts of Asia, so the concept has support in some places.

@1981Galadriel Absolutely the very concept originated as form of training for men in sports so it amazes me that people now a days people make such a fuss over a man on a pole. Steven was even interviewed for a story about pole fitness where they spoke of just that. And the Silhouettes as good as they are their last performance was flawed. And patriotism is a great ideal and I know they say it was a tribute but I feel it was the concept and not their skill that got them votes last time.

He's beautiful to look at and not just appearance wise but the way he move how he syncs his body to the music and how he makes something difficult look so easy are all simply amazing. Half the time he almost seems to be floating with no effort at all. On top of this he seems to have the most sparkling personality taking even the ignorant remarks in stride. I so hope he wins AGT!!

When watching Steven perform you are watching many talents coming together..years of dance, years of pole fitness, he designs his own costumes, set designs and choreographs ALL the dancing for himself and his dancers, he also creates his own make-up!!!! If all the acts on AGT did that you would not have a very good show. I think this is a WORLD CLASS act and is the only act worthy of going to Vegas!!!!
