  • the fastest point from a to b is a straight line -Kwonkicker

  • Powerful(?) like Pacquiao and Mayweather? Ahaha!

    Good 1!

  • elbows must always tuck in to protect your rib cage at the same time as well as not to let your punching can be read by opponent.

  • finally a southpaw on youtube.

  • great video Charles...I think Bernanrd Hopkins is an excellent example in training and the ring.

  • Also if you lift your elbow up you become more predictable and the opponent can see the punch coming.

  • thx this video helpd me a lot!

  • Thats so dis -respectful to be tallking when the man is teaching us technique. Not cool!

  • great advice (Y) protection+speed+power

  • Did anybody else noticed the lil kid? Lol

  • It actually depends on what you are doing. If you box, you keep your elbows tucked in. If you fight in other styles like MT or Muay Boran, your elbows are already up in the air so that you can use them for defense and attack. There is no point in tucking them in again and then throw a punch. Body blows can be stopped by elbows strikes to the punching arms. Actually your opponent will get elbows to the head if he gets in too close to use body shots.

  • This is tricky because you do want your elbow up when punching.. But you don't want to start the punch with it up.. The foot rotates then the hips then the shoulders.. And about 1/3 extension the elbow comes up.. You don't want the elbow lower then your fist at the moment of impact.. This would result in a weak punch..

  • my playlist is sik

  • holy shit an actual good tip jesus youtube is terrible for learning to fight

  • what the hell is the kid doing behend to bad from 1:10 to the vid ends

  • Relatively speaking Mayweather doesnt have a powerful knockout punch..

  • Early in Jermain Taylors career, he use to do that as well. Great video.

  • First boxer that comes to mind when I seen this video, is Chris Arreola. He lifts his elbows when he throws punches.

  • @13ghappz -yeah, his elbow is out like he's shooting a bow n' arrow.

  • @BoxingFitFactory you know in competition bow shooting the elbow is in for accuracy and smoothness of the pull just a bit of useless knowledge
