causes the light to do that? one led wire above the speaker diaphram and another actualy on the diphram? Or like both wires on the motherboard and some software to send certain signals to the leds when the signal goes to the speakers? i could google it, but that wouldnt be much fun...

Oh and for all you idiots out there... musicyounkie ...the umd is not broken! i have this done on my psp as well and the umd drive still works fine and plays games. it just takes skills and lots of time to build this mod rightt... both of which i doubt you have... pussy! thats why you get more than one. and who cares if you break it buy parts online there not that expensive. i have 4 psp 1000's. i got 1 from my friend cus the screen was broken, i got another one from the same friend cus the screen on that was cracked and had no sound, the third one i bought from some guy, the fourth was again from that same friend cus he bricked it, so i got 3 psp 1000's for free and they didnt cost much to fix and unbricking is free.

Linked to the sound power I think. every time power is sent to the speakers to play a sound, the LEDs sap some of the power away. Is it not as loud as before you modded it? if so, thats why =D
