@madgeorge2236 bull crap. Sorry but all the canon d's are still cameras. They gives this cheap, fake film look with a simple 35mm DOF lens, and people are sold, fooled. Image on those cameras WARP ALL THE TIME, and image stablization sucks. Look how much fresh depth is coming from the xha1 when the player is not even set on 1080. There are billions of things the canon xha1 can do that the 7d and 5d cant.

But it doesn't matter cus they're the same company :D

Holy crap, dude. This video wasn't edited at all? I've seen some stock footage that is just bland and boring--hell, almost all the stock footage I see is that. The fact that this looks like straight film without even so much as a level adjustment is pretty heartening to me.

I'll make sure to set those presets on my own XH-A1 on my next project.

Need a reply here, My xh a1 ND filters actually dont work. Do i need to enable them of something? When i move the filter switch down it doesn't do anything. I do know the difference ive used my camera for about 2 years but it's only been recent since ive had this problem. Im not sure if someone has switched something off to changed some settings or if it's broke. Please help :)

@razrox I think the only way to enable and disable the ND filters is on the switch next to the lens I never seen anything on the menu to do that maybe you wanna google that problem!

@mikebottarini no worries I have a Mac Pro and I use FInal Cut Pro for the editing that helps a lot on the quality of the video but the setting are a very important key check on my blog I post some presets you can add to your camera to get different looks! looking forward to see some cool videos feel free to share!

It will probably handle it better than a PC. Canon cameras are usually more Mac-friendly out-of-box than other brands, because of the file format. You'd be the envy of many video editors with a Mac/Canon setup.

Great looking footage , but you wouldnt be able to do tv commericals with this cam.For that i would advise a RED one.
