Hi its kevtin101 again, just got back from Vegas it was amazing! had the best time, just got a quick question if thats alright, now were back do we need to register anywhere in the Uk? do I need to register my name change anywhere or can I just start using it and show the marriage certificate when change with banks etc?

Just wanted to check with someone who got married abroad like us, thank you

Hi, Glad you liked it, You do not need to register as you just show the bank the certificate and that’s all. Same for the driving licence and passport. The marriage is legal but no formal records are kept in this country so if any authorities need proof then you just have to show them.

You can pay to have it registered if you want but it does not really benefit you.

Enjoy married life as its ace, we are now expecting our first child in 5 weeks so its all go.

Are you in the UK? We are. we got married in July and booked before Xmas, make a reservation as early as poss and I would recommend to do it at around 4pm as its too hot any earlier. I would advise not to wear a full suit and swap for linin as the heat just slaps you in the face. when you make a reservation they ask you what hotel you are staying in and what room but you can tell them what room you are in once you arrive. They are really nice people and cant help enough.

Yes from the Uk,

Rang them last night...were getting married in August! ;) asked what hotel etc yup and said we needed to ring them when we arrived to confirm room etc. Where did you go for the madam tusade like thing? looks good,

Think were going to go for shirt yup rather than whole suit. Asked us on phone what colour flowers we wanted,are they real? Did you get to keep them?

you have to go to get a licence from the county court house which is $60 dollars then you can get married at any chapel when ever you like. We rang the little white chapel from england and booked a time slot but paid with cash on arrival. its really simple and is ace, good luck.

I think it was the romantics package, which was Photos/DVD/Flowers/Limo to and from hotel. The photos were great a guy called Lorenzo who doubled as our wittness too. The DVD however is a bit cheap as its just a camcorder with no edits or titles but you can do all that yourself with the footage when you get back. Watch out for the tips though !!!!! the minister and photographer and limo driver all handed us tip envelops with surgested amounts $40 to $60 which was a tad on the upfornt side......

we just did $20 dollars each and it was the best day ever. we would do it all again as it takes all the stress out of it.

We made a reservation 6 months prior. Make sure you book it for around 4pm as its way too hot any earlier. I would swap a full suit for linen as the heat just slaps you in the face. They will want to know which hotel you are in and what room number so the limo driver can pick you up, but you can let them know that when you arrive. Any other questions just ask.
