i think you could easily be the best cuber in the world if you practiced. you are a very smart person and imo deserve to be better known in this world. your knowledge of the cube is incredible.
I get sub 20 solves like once a week max, but lately I've been getting a lot of 21s and 22s. Strangely, when I get a sub 20 solve like 99.9% of the time it's also sub 18.
sorry for the noob question, but what was the algorithm you used at about 27 seconds, where there was a red edge on the orange side and an orange edge on the green side... i recognise the situation, but i only know a much longer slower way :S
Thank you for this video. I've been watching your tutorials and currently average around a minute, with my best time being 44.97. Been doing Friedrich for about 2 weeks now and I am discouraged that I am still so slow and this inspired me to keep going.
Hey that was awesome! I love all your videos and when i started watching them my average went down by about 2 minuets! I just solved in 34 seconds somehow using f2l and then both 2 looks! so if any1 could check that out it would mean alot!
1-2 is a good number. It might seem small but it's so you can get them down pat and not have to backtrack. But of course you can always learn more if you wish.
how long did it take you to get sub 30, because im so close right now.haha, i was going to get a 28 second solve today, and my space bar malfunctioned. but anyways, yea, how long did it take you?
lol ya u can tell ur better at the cross on the bottom from that last 1 but thats good i just cant convert lol im getting so good at it but everytime i try i mess up so i dont see the point but agen, very good solves. Thanks for finaly making an avg video.
I am entering my junior year of high school and have become very interested in a few things high schoolers are not known for being into, philosophy, math, physics and economics for starters. what should i do besides study, work hard etc. to continue further in these fields?
go to the library, and get some books that look interesting. See if you can find any university level online courses for things that interest you, like for example I know MIT offers free video lectures of some of their classes. I'm sure some other universities do as well.
yep, i know it from Rockband (its like Guitar Hero for anyone that doesnt know). I used to play bass on this one. Its basically flicking 30 times per second for 5 minutes on this particular song :D
Badmephisto, you say you don't usually do speedsolves, but rather you try to do very smooth and clean and perfect solves. Do you think that that's a good way to practice, if your trying to get much faster?
hi. first of all easy with the 'bad' stuff, call me meph, or mephisto if you insist :)
anyways, i'm not sure. It sounds like it could be, but then I have not improved significantly over the last few months. I was essentially 18 second average 4 months ago. It may actually be due to the fact that i don't really 'speedsolve' anymore. Or it can be just the fact that I haven't been solving too much lately :( busy with work and stuff :( so, i dont know
hey yaya finally this video =D i dont mean to an idiot or sumthing to your vid descrition but you can stil apply slow f2l with no breaks on a speedsolve and get id say almos the same averages as the no breaks compensate for that. like em alot of french speedcubers go slow f2l no breaks for fast times - just tought u'd share that with you. just an option if u wanna see how it turns out with you =)
nice video it is great and i couldnt tell, did u do extended cross? on the last solve it look like you did but that could jus be me seeing the corner in the right spot but lol u do f2l so fast i couldnt tell lol. and with H perm hav u tryed r2 then R2 and do that for the rest?
i always did it r2R2 but I am trying to switch right now, thats why it comes out weird at times.
And yes I think I tried an extended cross on the one where pre-inspection takes me like 10 seconds, i think 2nd or 3rd. But it didnt work out :) I don't usually go for xcross unless i see something very obvious that is already solved.
Nice! I've been cubing for a few months and my average is around 40sec. Hopefully I'll finish learning my last couple PLLs today or tomorrow, and then learn the OLLs by the end of summer :)
i saw some guy solve it on a streetcar, and i thought it was really cool. So I went and bought my first cube on that day and I've been hooked ever since.
Watch my "how to become speedcuber" vid. Follow down the list:)
haha cross on top is alright sometimes, it depends on the situation. I solved cross on top for about 1 year, so i have developed a lot of fingertricks for it. I am in process of switching though :)
Almost got his best time with the cross on top lol

@Haydinnio I think you might be confusing the z-perm with one of the u-perms. check his website just, it has all the algs he uses (mostly).
I'm pretty sure that alg was R2 U [R U R' U'] (R' U') (R' U R') though.
