  • thugs? what thugs? where are these thugs? i walk around at night taking back alleys on purpose hoping some "thug" will attack me, where are they hiding. where is there hideouts location. these are the things i want to know.

  • Jokey Hill...Whens the last time he did anything? Because standing in front of your opponent is a GREAT thing to teach students. Stay in the pocket and get your face punched in...

  • nicee

  • ha Karate sucks! They would get killed in the ring.

  • @bananabread119 what ring? boxing?

  • @StevyI8907

    MMA

  • @bananabread119 Hi BANANA you wanna try me on the ring?

  • @ciganodeouro

    Sure! =)

  • @ciganodeouro haha you tell them! I want second round! haha..

  • @bananabread119 You still say that after Lyoto Machida,GSP,Chuck Liddell,Anderson Silva,Jon Jones, and half of the K-1 roster has proven how wrong such an assumption is? Okay,well...best of luck to you then

  • I had the pleasure of seeing Tokey Hill (0:03 - 0:17 and 1:25 to 1:27) compete in his heyday in '79 or '80. Unreal fighter. He won first place (big surprise ... not) in a tournament that included Billy Blanks. Blanks was eliminated by another top fighter named Sam Roberts, and Hill beat Roberts for the top spot.

  • TokeyHill is also an outstanding coach, who helped luminaries like the kickboxing legend MICHAEL MCDONALDaka THE BLACK SNIPER reach unprecedented levels of success in K-1.Atleast 1 of MICAHEAL MCDONALD'S K-1 titles (and the most impressive wins in that tourney) was due at least in part to the training that Tokey provided

  • Btw is this full documentary out yet? Where can I get it?

  • @DethStryque I wondered about that. Was he trained as a Karate guy? I saw them fight here in Las Vegas. Or was he just kick boxing. I know Hill has explored other styles of fighting.

  • name of the documentary? looks intresting.

  • en el mundial de 1986 en australia manuel monzon logro el tercer puesto en kumite representando a canada ,pero el es argentino de nacimiento, es un muy buen karateca.

  • yeah, i wanna see this film..

  • Where the hell do you find this film????!!!!

  • I'm so tired of People who critisize sport martial arts...Let me tell you why they're so angry....Cause they know they'd get their fuckin ass Kicked against someone with real skills....They preach about the "art" and walk around with a subtle ego, then claim they only use it for "self defence" against street thugs who can't even fight anyway...If you hate Sport karate, Judo, MMA, wrestling, then shut your mouth and back it up before you critisize what they do.

  • Fuck yeah man. I totally fucking agree!

  • There is a dojo that i am interested in and i dont know what i should take, they offer both sport karate and sport kickboxing... which do you prefer/suggest

  • As a practitioner of both sport karate and sport kickboxing,I recommend that you observe them both and merge them both, thus eliminating the weaknesses of either.Sport kickboxer's stances are too wide, and too available to counters. They lack the explosivity and array of hand and foot techniques of sport karate. They also lack point karate's accuracy.Especially Muay Thai guys.Point fighters lack (in general) the leg kicks, knees, clinch, elbows, continuous sparring conditioning, and combos of kickboxers.

  • Cosign that,JayJay.I agree all day. However,I am a practitioner of the self defense oriented martial arts, and I can say decisively that there are maaaaany of us who can and do hang with the very best--and beat the very best--sport only sport combatants. All forms of skilled martial artists deserve respect, regardless of the reasons that they practics (as long as they don't demean the martial arts by becoming bullies and other forms of basically bad people).

  • i completely agree!

  • @80JayJay8 that is the smartest thing anyone has ever said on here. Regardless if your not Karate.

  • @80JayJay8

Sport martial artists are not the only ones who have so called "real skill". Don't shoot your mouth off like that.

  • @80JayJay8

By the way, if someone used sport techniques in a street fight, they'd be lucky to get out alive, let alone win. Sport thechniques are only good for competition, not self defense. Think before you speak.

  • @80JayJay8

If you knew what you are talking about, you would know that a traditional martial artist would outclass a sport fighter in any situation. Martial arts are about self development and defending oneself efficiently, not trading blows over and over, and whether or not the thugs who attack you on the sreet know how to fight is not the issue. Real martial arts are not about who is better at fighting, and who, like in your case, has a big ego.

  • @80JayJay8 Know what you are talking about before you shoot your mouth off.

  • damn i woul dlove 2 see this documentary

  • where do you buy this?

  • this video is not so old.! whith white hand protections fight the all WSKF federation.!

  • Dude this video was like 1999 that was 10 years ago... They came out in Blue and reds like in 2003!

  • The USANKF fights with white hand protection's. I don't know why ?! - Elisa Au or George Kotaka.- I was in Las Vegas last year and i have seen very much fighters with white hand protection's. -

  • I don't know what your talking about. But our school runs that tournament, in the WKF division it's required regulations that you must wear your red and blues. Probably in the lower divisions, but since that tournament became part of the "golden league" people from across the world compete with WKF regulatory rules.

  • lol this is old they have white hand protection

  • no they are new
