I don't understand, do you mean with a dead mouse or bird? Poor scared kitty won't get close enought to the trap to even see anything in it. She has gone up to 4 days without food and still won't go in it with chickhen, roast, can food etc in it. :(

OMG, I am having such a hard time retrapping a cat I trapped 4 years ago and fixed. I need to relocate her now where i have relocated her brother, which she saw get trapped. I have been trying 2 1/2 months now. I have used tuna, sardines, chickhen, can/hard food, cat nip, etc. I'm sooo worn-out from trying. I have with-held food up to 4-5 days days, still nothing.

wondering if anyone knows. I have a stray I have been feeding but I can't get close to him because he runs. The weather is getting cold here in Montreal and I don't want him to freeze to death but can't take him in because I have my own cat who is anti social but lovable...any suggestions?

In emergency situations in Winter, if you do not have quick access to a shelter.....a strong cardboard box or container preferably weather proofed with plastic, trash can turned on its side, large plastic tub turned upside down with a door added etc, can provide a temporary solution until a more permanent shelter can be obtained

1) Building the Shelter -- Medium size plastic container turned side way, you can get it from Walmart or anystore. costs $6-$8. If you use cardboard box, make sure to make it rain proof.

2) Bedding, the best are wood chips and straws, excellent insulations. You can also use lots of shreded newspapers, or Hay which costs $3 for a huge bag in petstore.

3) Locate the shelter in a corner away from direct wind or snow. Make sure it will not get blow away by the wind.

The Mia168. I'll answer your question , mia. If my pet cat was missing, I would like if someone returned it. It has a bright reflective collar and my information on it, and the cat is tame and can be handled. If it got out and was shot as a nuisance animal, I would blame the cat, and not really spend too much time worrying about it. I like my cat, but I think they are wild at heart and not really ever that strong a companion animal.

I've had a cat owned by careless neighbors who kills birds and animals for sport. I love cats but this thing is a demon from hell. She is destroying a nature spot I've worked to cultivate and her owners threaten me for being angry over it.

She's getting trapped & taken to the shelter. She does not belong being released again to kill wildlife-EVER.

Cats will live the same kind of life if they are neutered and vaccinated. Neutering stops cats from having kittens, If they did have kittens shelters May have to put them to sleep(Kill Them). And vaccinations are necessary to house cats and it makes a wild cats life easier also.

Thank you for these helpful videos. We are trapping a feral colony to take to the vet for neutering and shots, then will return to our yard where we will take care of them and feed them for always. They are lovely cats who were born free. We want them healthy so we will trap, neuter, and release to live happily ever after - with a little TLC from us!

i dont think u r stupid!! i had been trying to catch this massive white adult cat for ages. i put some kfc bbq chicken in there with the skin and i caught it! i've got it in a room with a towel over it and i've put some delicous food in the cage so it has a nice last meal. it wont be neutered it will b put down. i live in australia and this cat is too feral to be adopted out. australia has a VERY different feral cat problem to america so dont get the wrong idea and think its cruel. thanks
