I listened to this band when I was about 15 or 16 in high school back in the early to mid '90s. I'm 35 now and this STILL KICKS! Sometimes you need this kinda stuff every once in awhile to get the stress out of your system. Thank you Lord for blessing the guys in Believer to make the great music they made (ESPECIALLY "Dimensions").

to me this doesn't sound alot different to secular Thrash Metal bands.

And you can get slower punk bands :-D What do you think bands like Eyehategod are? Or The Melvins? Even though they are considered Sludge Metal, to me they have the characteristics of punk.

I'm a musician, I listen to music because it's music. The words are just vocal melodies in the music, to me. I never listen to the lyrics. If I want words, I read a book. I listen to music because I want to hear music. So now I don't really care if a band is christian or not. Totally uninteresting. This band sounds great and if someone doesn't think because they're christian (I'm not), then get lost.

funny enough though, believer's lyrics have always been quite open minded, specially during the later years, as far as not interested in lyrics, they add a deeper perspective to the music(not always the case though)

but i remember lyrics from the album "Dimensions " and they really stood out for me. if anything ima put on dimensions now :)

@MonstersNightmare Yeah, check out their album that came out in 2009, called Gabriel. Has Howard Jones of Killswitch Engage doing guest vocals, Deron Miller of CKY and Rocky Gray of Living Sacrifice doing guest guitar. Still very intriguing!

Oh dear...whether or not you are Christian is irrelevant. I'm not, but that doesn't stop me enjoying great music.

Believer were a superb band and excellent musicians who were sincere in performing their art. Whether you agreed with their message isn't really pertinent - they were tight, aggressive, brutal, and technically flawless. You don't need to be a Bible Eater to appreciate their skill. Anybody who loves metal should dig people who are honest and dedicated to the genre. That is enough.

Yeah this is pretty good music, but most Christian bands nowadays that call themselves hardcore are just shitty metalcore, Deathcore, and any other poser genre of metal.  Just plain thrash is still better than this though. Cuz i dont listen to music for religion

hot topic cant handle bands like this cause there so awesome and talented and hot topic knows nothing of that word so they just sell emo and new gayish pop punk and wannabe punk rock bands.your best bet with stores is with fye since they sell thrash metal albums but they might not sell it in sotres but online probably.other best opitons are just buy it online or go to like an underground record store who would sell albums like that of there calibur

If you want a "Christian slayer", then you should look toward early Living Sacrifice. First album only though. i think Believer is very original and doesnt sound at all like slayer. So check out the Living Sacrifice's self titled. You won't be disappointed/

This is my favorite Believer song. When I look back at the Christian metal scene from the 80's and 90's, this is the only band that has stood the test of time IMHO.
