I hate to be one of those ppl who care too much about graphics and looks, but I really cant bring myself to enjoy these kinda games. Im the opposite of the reviewer as in I was drawn into the game by the exterior artwork and presentation, but was deeply disappointed in the game itself.

I enjoyed these kinda games as a kid growing up, but I like to see a console used to its full potential in terms of graphics and gameplay, and this game certainly doesnt try the psp's limits.

First of all it is a portable game with about as much gameplay as a 360 or ps3 game, that is impressive

Second, this game is full of nostalgic value and is not meant to be played by people who put graphics before anything else.

I've played this game.. At the first time I thought this game is just hard to cope with and the game doesn't look that good.. but then I gave it another shot. I got the hang of the game.. and when I knew how to play it I really enjoyed it :) There isn't much of animation to fighting but there's lots of things you can do in this game and it really gets your brain working, really really recommended to people who like strategy RPGs ^ ^

I don't know. At first glance it doesn't seem like the best game in the world, but anything with character customization, I'm pretty much a sucker for. Gameplay for fighting seems a bit like Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor. I don't care about graphics as much, so I think it's gonna be pretty good

Not to advertise or anytin but Mana-Khemia (RPG game similar to this) is 999% way better than this dungeon crawling game. There's story, nice animation, music, etc. its a good game.

this is one of the few rpg's atlus has released in years. rpg means role-playing game. the vast majority of jrpg's give you no control over your characters actions, and to that effect you have no say over the flow of the story. which is to completely ignore the fact you get their generic stock hero instead of character creation. this is a homage to the origins of rpg's before they were perverted to the play by numbers format and craptastic active battle system.
