I wish you guys would go to railroad stations and do this stuff. Everytime I try to take pictures of trains somebody harrasses me telling me I cant do that and then they ruin my day.
The federal idiots have nothing better to do than hassle someone for taking a photo. Fact is, go on google and it's most likely already photographed. Down with any enforcement.
I hate it when photographers try to assert Supreme Court rulings to security and law enforcement. Arguing that shit isn't going to get anywhere with them. It just aggravates the situation. Try another tactic.
"Dude, why are you bothering me? I'm just standing at my post trying to have a siesta and doing what I do everyday---not a God damned thing for my $80K/yr and unbelievable retirement/benefits package all in the name of security. Don't you remember 9/11?"
what is it his concern what you are there taping for? the officer is such a control trip. just because he is addressing another person does not mean he can not respond. federal property is the property of the people so unless the videotaping is concerning military secrets there is no expectation of privacy.
i dont think half of the people in america understand that people that wish to do us harm use these photos and videos as intel. the activists that do this on a regular basis are doing nothing but harm and adding stress to the people that protect this country. get a real job and fight for your country not tear it down
@emorocksit8 the people that protect this country, lol.no one did shit to protect the country on 9/11.if a fucking terrorist wanted intel they wouldnt be going out during the day right in front of all these armed scumbags to get intel, they would easily walk into an airport security line and blow up hundreds of people at once.your a brainwashed idiot, all the teror in tis country is manufactured.thats why no one diud shit to protect us on 9/11 because asshole cheney knew it was an insdie job
The law that previously prohibited photographing federal property falls under The General Services Administration (They own the building). The Federal Management Regulation is Title 41, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR's) Part 102-74, Subpart C.
It is the decsion of the building or facility administrator or as to what will be allowed and what will not be allowed as to photographing the inside or outside of a building or facility. These laws are enforced by the Federal Protective Service.
Just today I was with Reason.TV recording in front of the federal courthouse at 500 Pearl St in Manhattan regarding my lawsuit which clarified that there is *not* any law or regulation that forbids it.
What a whiner this court security officer is. What a self-important goon the hired gun is. I get the sense he wanted you in a certain position relative to him for when the federal cops showed up, yeah, exactly. Kudos Carlos, keep up the great work.

When they hang a badge on someone, it would seem that the thing to do is to require them to know the law. Guess the feds don't agree.

You have to provide the law to him, but he doesn't have to provide it to you -- beautiful.
