@rostock48 You can't MAKE him crazy fast. You have to know techniques. It's all about Super jump, then cancel in his air Dash. That's everything Air dash is X+Y. Super jump is Down, then up. If you don't super jump, he doesn't land on the ground right away. So just practice.

you gotta remember though.... training dummy's don't fight back. my friend made a good point, its easy to do combos off of something thats not moving. Everyone has an equal chance, but watching people do these kind of combos is kind of intimidating, but you gotta remember its easy to do combos on something that doesn't fight back.

Lets all agree to disagree.I personally love jinn.his aa assist has priority over ALL assists XCEPT ken's aa.(they cancel each other out)Almost all of his moves do chip damage.He's not one of the fastest but neither are sentinel n blackheart.Doom is'nt fast either but his aa assist is one the best in the game.Jinn,on the rite team,is definitely a winner

but Sent, BH, and Doom all have things to make up for there lack of speed.

+Doom has and unrollable super, fly, air dash, and comboability semi infinite

+Sent has Fly, refly, unblockable, comboability, a few infinites, defense, and damage

+BH has Whoreishness, air dash, zoning, whoreish assit, semi infinite, and excels at being a WHORE!

off the top of my head .. jin assist gets straight raped by cammy and cyclops.. plus the fact that jin's assist carries him forward in a hurry is bait for sentinel ... the only thing jin has going for him is that ambiguous crossup with hitboxes that make no sense which guarantee a tornado super if you are halfway decent

Jin has none of those, his biggest manual combo is maybe 7 hits with no real damage, and his supers are really practical, unsafe as hell, has only one good assist (and it doesnt have priority over all assists, trades hits, and kens and cammys they are invincible till they begin to fall.)

Unfortunately, Jin is probably the worst character on point in the game, even Servbot has decent chip.

Strider/Jin was my favorite in MvC1, but Jin is just a total waste in MvC2 sadly.

Anyway, Dan is obviously a joke character, roll was also not meant to be a fighter.

Zangief isn't as bad as people make him out to be, he has one of the best assists in the game(metal form, ground).

I'm not putting Jin down because I don't like him, quite the contrary, but they did not do him justice in MvC2.

He's more of low tier, not bottom. He's nowhere near above the middle of the cast. He's more of SLIGHTLY above the worst characters.

Jin has range priority and 2 good assists. Good damage, even glitched Vulcan and blodia punch supers.

Outside metal form gief what else does he have? gief dies on point period at least Jin can hold up better.

He's middle tier not low tier. Upper-mid at best right smack in the middle at worst

Anyway, Zangief has better assists compared to Jin, so that's that, furthermore, Metal Zangief is actually reasonably solid against non-beam characters on point.

Jin is NOWHERE near upper-mid, upper-mid is Cammy, War Machine, Omega Red, Blackheart, Strider Hiryu, etc. of course we both know who the TOP tier characters are, so that is not really up for debate.

You're either fairly bad at the game or a rabid Jin fan, that's pretty much it.

Well there's a good reason why we aren't getting along.

I place Cammy War Mach etc in "near top" tier. then 2nd tier (which includes, but are not limited to Ruby Heart, Rogue, Anakaris etc)

Then There's mid. I do it that way because there's such a big cast that "God-Top-Mid-Low-Roll" just can't cover it properly. besides, much of the middle part of the tier list is very debatable

Let me explain to you what you seem to be unable to grasp.

Jin is slow, has a bad launcher, bad air game, bad ground game, little/no combo capabilities, bad offensive game. His assists are only "ok".

It's not safe to DHC into him and DHC'ing FROM him is risky business, unlike with Iron Man, Strider,Blackheart.

Jin was fairly well off in MvC1, considering you had middle punch and kick which were "like" moves. He lost those and his speed remained mostly the same compared to others like Strider.

Also, you can keep away from metal gief fairly easily unless you're really terrible. He can be good against characters with no projectile and crap range yeah.

And me calling him gief doesn't make me a newb. that's like saying anyone who calls magneto mag and cyclops cyke are noobs. Its irrelevant. Call anyone whatever you'd like to call them

That's usually how the characters are placed, now, assuming that we agree on the top and the bottom tiers, this logically means we disagree on what "mid" tier is.

Cammy and War Machine aren't high tier, they aren't anywhere near as good as Iron man or Blackheart.

Anyway, I'm sure neither of us will back down, my opinion, as a reasonably good player, is that Jin is at least worse than 35(or so) of the other characters. That's pretty much it.
