They do not feed growth hormone feed, they are cornish rock chickens. and they grow !!!

The birds are ready for eating at 3 weeks and on. Typical fryers are 6weeks old and broilers start at 8 weeks old.

it is. r u on the north fork or the south fork. i live in aquebogue on the north fork, on church lane after the modern snack bar. i am looking to get some (3-4) egg layers, but agway in south hold is not getting any chickens any time soon and thats the only place we know off that sells them. im going to this welsh farm on thursday to get a few chicks.

Very interesting. Of coarse you are going to have those that whine about the bloody part. They are the ones that look for coupons to save a few cents per pound on chicken they buy a the store. You know the chickens that don't actually get killed, or at least these people don't give it a second thought when they are buying chicken. I should go now. I have to go seach eBay for one of those neat chicken pluckers. I already have a knife and a funnel thingy!
