"DEPRESION NERVIOSA" TAN BREVE COMO FABULOSA. COMO UNA PETTIT SUISSE : CALIDAD EXTREMA EN POCO TAMAÑO. SI NO CONTAMOS A ELVIS PARA MI EDDIE ES MI Nº. 1 ABSOLUTO DEL ROCK & ROLL.
@The170460 I hate being wrong, or in this case it was/is liner notes by Lenny Kaye I referred to, but forwarded, so I'm guilty here. As I live in a world of realities, I have to admit, listening to this gem....that you are absolutely right. Hmmm, I guess I have been in an illusion for years about a sax here. Wonder how it comes? I never make any mistakes! LOL... But I have made much worse mistakes, though one have to "kill ones darlings". That's a very important lesson learnt. Thanks!
@gangerollo Eddie had recorded an alternate of this one included one sax part. But the acetate was found in the eddie cochran estate 5 or 6 years ago not before. I think you can find it on you tube or send me a mail and i enclosed the mp3 of the alternate.
@The170460 I know about that take/version w/sax. I have it saved on either of my gangerollo or my bellgardens53 channel. Sad to say, the alt is not as good, far from it, vs this complete master.
@The170460 Hmmm, maybe I have missed that one. Somtimes I forget all alt takes coming to some artists. But you send it if you have it. If you want to, send me an pm and I give you my personal email address. Take care and don't let the strings rattle.
@lambemos2 "Best song" from Eddie? That's tough to rate since there was such amazing stuff coming from him! It's like having all these gold pieces from Fort Knox and trying to rate them! I cannot understand why he wasn't so popular in in U.S. I read where he was a smash in the U.K. (I would have only been 8 when he died).
elvis does have some credit ...as a performer and playing guitar with no chords...a true artist like eddie its an whole different storie....too bad he died young, imagine what he could have created
Eddie's american label, Liberty Records, never released the song in the States. It wasn't released until 1961 in the UK. Eddie died in a car accident in England Easter Sunday 1960. Some of Eddie's great rock stuff came to light post-humously, eg "My Way", which wasn't released until 1964 in England.

This was a stunner visually. When Eddie
sang, "See my hands how they shiver, see my
knees how they quiver", he acted it out as if
he were a nervous wreck. It was great to watch!
Live concert, Williston, ND, Oct. 1959, National Guard Armory.
