  • i like euro series

  • I've played a couple of Mike's basses once (not a reproduction of it, HIS actual bass), and it was amazing. Probably the best bass I've ever played. Infact, it was 4 days after this video was uploaded!

  • Nickelback has the worst haters on the planet. They DON'T give any valid points as to what make the band "suck". The composing of there music? What, another artist covers a Nickelback song that their version is better because it's NOT Nickelback performing? I've heard SO many reason from the "Haters" I know and every reason they've thrown at me was completely invalid.

  • james hetfield ftw

  • he has the most metal looking bass, too bad I'm not a fan of nickelback or whatever, his bass should come in a 6 string and with an active emg option :)

  • FUCK NICKLEBACK!!!

  • @Blavits you probably wish you could ;-)

  • Mike Kroeger is one of my favourite bassists and inspired me to buy a bass guitar!

  • All the best Mike.

  • man i like that second bass! I agree with what he says about passive pickups i've always felt the same way...plus you don't have to worry about changing batteries and shit

  • @emittscool They're only good on basses though, I don't like them on Guitars, they take away the woody organic feel.

  • @Goth3m3 to make sure we're on the same page...i was saying i DONT like active pickups on bass, or guitar for that matter...just another knob to fiddle with and another potential problem live. but man that second bass is georgeous...made from the special wood...nice

  • @thechuckwillkill I have a lot of comments like this.

  • EMG should be ashamed that he uses there pickups

  • @Behemoth941 why?

  • @Behemoth941 I agree 100%....

  • lo, he has like the most metal looking bass ever, and then you realize he plays in nickelback -_- love the matte black finish

  • No he meant passive, the EMG HZ pickups on his bass use a passive-passive combination just like alot of warwicks do.

  • i like emgs on bass more than guitar. on guitar they sound like something is holding them back and they dont have enough soul. until you turn on distortion. then your guitar sounds like helicopter blades. i guess its what he was talking about how it doesnt color the tone. thats good on bass but i dont like it on guitar. and did he mean active not passive?

  • The Pickups on his Signature Bass (the black one he has at the start of the Interview) are all Passive, the EMG-HZs. The Pickups on the other Bass he shows (the Buckeyed Burl) are Active I think.

  • @peteandurnot nope all the pickups they use are passive

  • @slickrick199525 - Only the Pickups on his Signature Basses are Passive. All his other Spector Basses are active( maybe to the Buckeyed Burl too). He switched from all Active to mostly Passive in order to give his Bass Tech David Shuu Guidish, an easier job looking after his sound during Concerts.

  • i did not know mike had blue eyes

  • cool!

  • What was the song at 2:37?

  • Because of you ;) Omg:P

  • "Too Bad" from "Silver side up". ;-)

  • Burn It To The Ground

  • @Asgard222 because of you
